Week 3 Done !

that’s week 3 done of my NHS 12 week plan and apparently I’ve reached my target weight, I didn’t know my target weight ? I never had one ? It must have been the APP ? Anyhow I started at 16st 2lb after 3 strict weeks I’m 15st 2lb 😊 & very happy with the way things are going. I haven’t really got a target weight I would just like to feel healthier & a bit more active, if I can loose a pound or 2 a week until the end of the 12 weeks into the mid 14st’s I’d be chuffed to bits ? Any views please ? Thank you 😊

Well done DMW66 :)

I don't know anything about the app, but when you put your details into the NHS BMI calculator, it gives you your range for healthy weight, a range of calories you should be eating and a first stage loss to aim for.

I'm guessing that you've achieved that first stage and now need to head towards a healthy weight. Here's the calculator to help you nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...

Unless you're 6ft 5in, in which case you've reached a healthy weight :)

I have just started this programme and noticed when you enter your details it gives a suggested weight to loose to make you a lot healthier than you currently are - a stone is also what I got. It's not your suggested ideal weight. Hope this helps and well done!! I hope i can do half as well as you by week 3 😀

Yeah I think that’s a weight loss target not and ideal weight, my ideal weight for a 54 year old bloke, 5ft 11in is 9st 6lb - 12at 😂that’s never going to happen I haven’t been that weight since I was 16 😂😂 I’m happy just feeling a bit less lazy and a bit more energetic 😊 good luck with your diet 👍🏻😊

Thank you! I think the lower weights they give as ideal are very low but as long as we do our best to be healthy and happy we are on the right track 😁

Hi! I'm not sure about the app, but...huge well done for the stone off in three weeks - that's fantastic! I think having the short-term goal of getting to the 14s is a good one - I've set an overall goal but at the moment it's one day at a time (sometimes one meal at a time!) and I'm trying to get to 14.4 by Easter as my first fixed goal.

So, keep doing what you're doing for now if you're feeling well, I reckon, and have a great week 😊👍
