Hello my Friday weigh in friends. I do hope you have had a good week and are keeping well. This is the part of the forum we come to weekly and weigh ourselves. I hope they are saying what you wish for. If this is not the case don’t worry too much measure your self. Or look back and see how far you have come from when you started. The main thing is not to give up.
This is a forum run by volunteers and we ask that you answer at least 3 other members on the forum. That way Admin will give you a badge showing your weight loss. This is 1 thing that they love to do.
If you are new to the weight in please read the welcome pack and you will then soon get used to the forum. We are a friendly bunch and welcome you. Read what others have done and just follow.

I will also be weighing in Friday also. This week has been very hard for me. I have lost my support bubble as they have tested positive for the virus. I am helping them buy doing a little shopping for them. As they would do it for me. So far I just added some things on my online shop. Instead of talking them shopping on Saturday I will take my trolley and shop for them.
After my walk with Roxie I will be around on the forum for the rest of the day. On the time depends on the weather to how long the walk will be. 🤣🤣
So I look forward to speaking to you all on Friday. Take care and stay safe. 😊😊

Hello Caroline and Feel Good Friday Folk, if anyone would like to join our Spring challenge to lose half a stone for Easter, here's the link. If you've joined already, don't forget to weigh in on there too today, good luck all! x
thanks for hosting! Today, I am early with posting
Start weight - 97.1kg (28.8.)
Last week's weight (or date of last weigh-in) - 100.8kg
Weight today - 99.3kg
Loss/Gain/STS - -1.5kg
Total loss - +2.2kg.
Target: 92.0kg
My explanation of the weekly loss: I watched a motivating video about a ballerina who counts calories by using a simple notepad.
With her as a role model I restarted to count calories on a simple sheet of paper. I do this immediately when I eat and subtract the calories from a daily "budget". Also, I use the kitchen scales to weigh what I eat.
Well - you've made utterly fantastic progress this week; your ballerina has clearly inspired you. keeping a close eye on what I eat and measuring how much works for me too. So well done and keep it up (or down!)
Well done! I keep a food diary in a notepad, it helps keep you focused I think. Weighing your food is very thorough but has worked. Good luck for the coming week
Hi Caroline62 , I’m sorry to hear that you have lost your support bubble as they have tested positive for COVID, I hope they recover soon. Unfortunately it does seem to linger for a while especially the loss of taste & cough. My husband was allowed out from quarantine on Wednesday so we are going for short walks (yesterday is rained heavily all day so stayed in).
We are having our Christmas celebrations this weekend so will start my healthy eating on Monday so will hopefully stop gaining weight & start to lose it.
Really Happy that your hub is feeling better! Hope you enjoy your walks little by little. Just take care-both of you- and enjoy the late celebrations -!!
Lovely to hear that your husband is making good progress and I hope he continues so to do!! I hope also that the two of you have enjoyed your celebrations together; the diet can wait for now; you have far more important things to attend to. W
Thank you , I am really looking forward to having a nice glass of Malbec tomorrow. Have done a dry mid December to Mid January (due to covid ) rather than dry January 🤨
Yes the weather has been wet this last couple of days. Today it is cold but dry hopefully you will get out for a little walk today. With all the worry you have had I am not surprised you have put some weight on. You must look after each other. Take care. I am sure you are looking after each other. Here’s to a good week. 😊

Thank you , we still feel pretty tired & our Covid test was over a month ago . We will take it easy & gradually increase the amount of exercise. My local nature reserve was totally flooded yesterday so we have walked around the road instead.
Hi , last weeks weight was 261 lbs and it is the same this week. My weight has remained static. unfortunately. I will get on the treadmill and see if that helps.Pict 123
Good morning, Pict123, and welcome back It's quiet here at the moment but you can have a chat to the other two who have posted and I'm sure there will be others along soon.
Exercise has many benefits for our health and wellbeing but it only plays a small part in weight loss: for that, it generally comes down to changing what and how we eat. You will find lots of ideas in the Daily Diary, where members share their meal and exercise plans and are happy to answer any questions. You'll find it, and all our forum activities, in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
Active involvement certainly pays off so I hope we'll see you joining in around the forum
I understand your frustration. I started at over 300 lb and am now down to around your weight. I have found exercise (mostly on a cross-trainer set up in a spare bedroom) enormously beneficial. Take it easy to start with (I did just 5 minutes on the first day! check with the doctor if you have doubts or concerns ) and build it up. Fo me, it is not just about the augmentation of weight loss, it is now something I look forward to (sort of!!) and my whole being is definitely better for it. So I would encourage you to give it a go and wish you the very best of luck. I look forward to hearing how you get on! Oh, and for me, exercising to music increases my performance enormously; give it a try!
You will find loads of support and advice on this forum - we all eventually find some eating method that suits us and helps us get healthier. Exercise is really important as well and a great motivator.
Look forward to seeing you next week and good luck!
Welcome back Pict123. We are a friendly lot here. Sorry it has taken me a long time to welcome you. I had to go do some shopping for my friend you has the virus. Please read what other members are doing and then follow suit. I am sure you have been given the welcome pack. By following that you will soon find your way around the forum. So please join in with us. That way you will get a lot from the forum. All the best for your first week back and take care. 😊
Good morning Caroline and thanks for hosting. Hopefully your Friends Will recoger Sión, meanwhile they are Lucky to have you to help.
Its been a long time! Probably more than a month.
Christmas celebration, although i walk a lot have been hard top cope with ... And yhe last week even worse with same food and less movement so It is the time for a change!
I am feeling a bit down due to the covid situation It is taking too long to solve and tiredness and ssdness seems to be wininig.
Lets hope that the vaccionations helps really Soon.
Welcome back, understand why you're feeling down, I struggle too at the moment. Positive that you've posted here and have the support with the group. Hope this week you'll feel a little better good luck!
I know what you mean, it’s so easy to feel a bit down right now. And yet you have still maintained a loss! That’s no easy task right now. Many people are gaining weight so be proud of what you have achieved so far. And hang in there. The vaccine is being rolled out and the nights are getting shorter. This year should be a brighter year
Well done , we can do this . My mental health has had quite a battering due to Covid over the last month but I know we can do this if we all help each other. I have received so much support from this forum .Go Team Feel Good Friday 🥳🥳
Good morning xx2000I have struggled too I think it’s the depressing weather we’re having at the moment everything is wet and muddy here’s to a better week next week stay positive good luck for next week x
How lovely that you've rejoined us; it's great to have you back. Considering the current situation and having just got through the holiday period, I would say that you are doing really well, so well done.
As to the COVID situation: I think you are in the vast majority now; I don't think anyone expected this all to go on for so long or for things to move to be even worst than the initial Shutdown! However, let's look forward to a far brighter future. Things will remain difficult for some time yet but I think you should now allow your mind to start a few personal fantasies about all the wonderful things that you might plan in the future. Look forward to some really good stuff and imagine how much better it will be having been denied such things for so long. Very best wishes and "Hi"!!
It is very difficult to feel positive at the moment and I can understand exactly how you feel. As others have said it is so good that you have posted here again. You will get lots of support and advice and hopefully you may start to feel a bit better.
I can really Sympathise with you there xx2000. Good to see you back. Since Christmas I have found it more difficult to cope with things. Things that are happening seems to be worse.we have to look after ourselves. You can only do your best. Take care and look after yourself. Try and go for a daily walk. Even if it is only for 10 mins at a time. It helps me. Take care and keep save. 😊
Hello xx2000, I understand how you feel. Just as an idea if you plan to move more: If walking feels too boring, I usually use the time to listen to podcasts or music. Have a good week!
Thanks for hosting Hidden and sorry to hear about your support bubble. Really hope the rest of the week isn't as tough for you, really feel for the situation you're in.
I'm usually a Thursday weigh in but mind has been a bit scrambled this week so totally missed a day somewhere.
Start weight— 18st 8lbs

OK week this week, would have liked some more exercise but between working full time and looking after 2 kids under 4 both at home it's been tricky finding the time. I'm just happy this week was a loss. Slow seems to be my weight loss, which is a little frustrating but at least its in the right direction. Debating giving up alcohol to see if that improves things, I don't drink much but if I do it's wine and know with calories that can be dangerous!
Well done with the weight loss! That’s a huge achievement given that you’re working full time and looking after 2 very young children. Enjoy your weekend, you deserve it
Welcome to the Friday mob; I hope you enjoy being with us. Well done for losing through difficult times; I assume you know that your rate of weight loss is recommended and much more sustainable in the longer term so be proud - you are doing really well!
Giving up alcohol takes determination and will power but it may be worth it. I used to drink a lot so giving up helps with weight loss a lot (I allow myself an occasional glass but rarely now). You will definitely benefit from not drinking the extra calories but this needs to be balanced against the pleasure you get; only you can decide. Either way, good luck in the forthcoming week and have fun with those kids - the get older far too quickly.
Thank you Ginge431, I used to drink a lot more in first lockdown and that and bad food is why I'm here determined to lose what I put on. Its hard atm because we need to take what little pleasure we can but I guess it comes back to everything in moderation! Thank you for your kind words and hope you have a great weekend and next week!
I`m using Dry January (against my will) to help me remove holidays` extra weight. Go for it.
Have a nice weekend.

Welcome Sunblue well done on losing weight this week. It is hard work looking after children. Be kind to yourself and have a good week. You are on the right path keep going. 😊
Thank you for hosting today for us Feel Good Friday mob.
Your message is most relevant to me this week; how astute you are!
Starting Weight - 138 kgs
Weight last week - 117 kgs
Weight today - 116 kgs
Weight Loss this week- 1 kg
Total loss - 22 kgs
I drafted this message before I had seen your message:
This week, I have put lots of effort into exercise and eating a healthy, calorie-counted diet but struggled to realise any weight loss until yesterday. Whilst this can somewhat demoralising, it is not the first time and I know that I just need to keep at it, re-evaluate and scrutinize my diet and it will all come good in the end; sometimes it is hard to convince my "inner me" of this!
Your "poster" addresses this perfectly: keep working at it and you'll get there. So onwards, reinvigorated, for another week. "Never give up!"
Your other news is somewhat worrying! Firstly, I wish those members of your support bubble a speedy recovery. I understand that testing positive and having the virus are 2 different things but the 2 do usually go hand in hand so I wish them a speedy recovery with minimum symptoms and hopefully you can be reunited in the not too distant future. And you Caroline; I hope you stay safe, healthy and in good spirits; these times are difficult enough without the additional knock-back of even greater restrictions on social life. I wish you strength and gladness; Roxie now has an even bigger role to play in your life!! 🐕🤗
To all my fellow FGF supporters: I hope you all had at least a reasonable week. Stay positive, stay safe, stay focussed and let's move forwards; together, we make a formidable force so good luck. 🦸♀️🦸♂️❤
I know what you mean about being demoralised by no change on the scales. I have far too often let the scales dictate my mood for the day and work hard to not let it happen - with mixed results. I have just spent 13 days with no change until today getting increasingly frustrated and feeling quite down about it.
I think it is because it makes me doubt what I am doing to lose weight and that is hard. I have to look back at what I have achieved to push me forward and remember what the poster says 😊
Good luck for next week - and have a great weekend!
I'm good at dishing out the advice but not so good at accepting it but the poster is right (as are you, thank you) and so I will push on! Have a great weekend and a good week ahead.
Your hard work has payed off this week that is a good loss Ginge431. Thank you for your kind words they mean a lot to me. Roxie is doing a fab job in looking after me. I am keeping myself safe thank you. I have my walk early morning and evening when it is quiet. Have a good week. 😊😊
Well done on your loss. Awww I know what you mean about not seeing the scale moving sometimes even tho we work do hard. Do you take measurements also? This can sometimes show changes that the scale doesn't x
Thanks; I've not been able to find a large enough tape measure!! I jest - I've just dropped a waist size on my trousers so I know it's working; many thanks for your support.
I’ve gained a pound this week which feels really unfair! I ate plenty of fruit and veg, only snacked and drank at the weekend and I got some exercise. It looks like I’m just going to have to push harder
St weight: 13s 3p
Last week: 11s 12p
This week: 11s 13p
Total loss; 1s 4p
Good luck Caroline62, I hope you’re doing ok without your support bubble and enjoy your walk with Roxie 😊
Lucyinthesky - you've done fantastically well overall so give yourself a break!!
Look at Caroline's poster message and take a quick look at my post. You will see that there are always ups and downs; please do not get disheartened. Certainly taking a close look at what you are doing and eating will help you understand whether you need to make any additional adjustments but I suspect it was just one of those weeks so press on and good luck.
It is really tough when you try hard and gain rather than losing. You have done really well in your overall loss though so you are definitely doing something right.
Weight loss is a process, there are times when your weight might go up if you’ve had a salty meal the night before and are retaining a bit more water, it can depend on how bunged up you are (I know.....but it’s true). You may have a pattern where you lose weight for a couple of weeks, then it goes up, and then drops suddenly. To truly make a difference you need to go gently....accepting the ups and downs will mean you will sustain the loss. Do be kind, you shouldn’t make this ‘hard’
You are doing well Lucyinthesky789. A small gain this week. You know fruit has got quite a lot of sugar in it. So maybe have less fruit and increase your veg. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Hope next week is better for you. 😊
Hi Caroline62,
What a week for you {{{{hug}}}}, so hope your support bubble are doing well.
Enjoy your walk with Roxie, I really miss my dog walks (we dog sit for friends), it such a lovely way to exercise without feeling you are 😂😂
Take care 🦋

Thank you for hosting Caroline62,
Start : 14Ib 11.8
Today : 14Ib 10.4
Lost : 1.4 Ib 🥳
I am following LCHF and doing ok, at beginning of week had a flare up of IBS and was feeling really ‘yuk’ for a few days but ok now and really pleased with my result this week.
In the coming week I am planning on upping my activity, as well as walking I’m going to start some toning exercises.
Well done flossie358; what a great result!! Good luck in the forthcoming week's activities; another move forwards towards an even healthier you - well done.
Thanks for hosting and so sorry to hear about your support bubble. I hope you are all ok. Hi everyone hope you are all doing ok.
Start weight 13st 8 and 3/4lb ( 26th June)
Weight at last weigh in (8th Jan) 11 st 5 and 1/2
Weight today 15th Jan 11st 4lb
Weight lost since last weigh in 1 1/2lb
Total weight lost 2 stone 4 and 3/4lb
I have been on a lowish carb/calorie monitoring regime for 29 weeks. I am now only 2lbs away from my normal bmi!! That will be an exciting day!!
I have also felt pretty stressed and down by the awful endless Covid and other dreadful news and have had a very strange week as a result. I thought I wouldn’t lose any weight at all as I weigh myself most days and saw the scales stuck. I am very happy that I have lost some as I have just about got back to my usual eating regime now and have been trying to get more exercise.
I have found a few more treasures in my wardrobe which I can now get into - things that were favourites and I couldn’t bring myself to throw away. I have so enjoyed wearing them and think about them every time I want to give up and eat a loaf of bread 😂😂
How inspired you must be to be able to wear some of your once favoured items; that must be very uplifting so very well done. Try not to dwell too much on the covid situation; it is not good at the moment. However, there is a bright and cheery future ahead! We will have to wait a while yet but we will get there. In the meanwhile, stay safe and as contented as possible; just think - you'll soon be showing off some of those favoured items on the high street!!
Well done, great to be able to wear your favourite clothes again! I’m still in my bigger clothes but they are no longer pressured at the seams. Keep that visual of yourself in those clothes, it has been worth it! Have another good week. xxx
It has really been lovely to get into my smaller clothes - and feeling that clothes fit better as well - one of the best things about losing weight for me 😊
The old non weight related result of fitting into clothes....I can feel my clothes getting looser......is a great thing. I used to weigh myself everyday, but only do it twice a week. I was obsessing about the number, not on how I was feeling. I’ve found it’s really helped me chill out a bit as a bit like you I’d feel disappointed if I decent see a shift. Whatever you’re doing has helped you lose 2 st.....So I reckon stick with what you’re doing 😊
I had a very bad habit of not weighing myself at all - pretending I was not gaining - and then I became too scared to weigh myself and the weight just piled on. I have now gone to the other extreme and weigh myself every day - no half measures with me 😂😂
I hope I can reduce that and take a more relaxed approach to the scales - without just avoiding them completely again when they don’t say what I want them to ☺️
Yaaay well done and that's great news about being so close to the BMI range your aiming for. I used to weigh every day also but I kept becoming upset as it would barely move and kept getting obsessed. Our body weight fluctuates on a daily basis cuz of water retention and other processes. Maybe you could cut back on looking at the scales? Slowly at first and then hopefully to once a week or something? It'll really help mentally x
What an uplifting week for you and fantastic you have your favourite clothes items to prompt you to be good if tempted by bread. You're a real inspiration and good luck for week ahead!
Not had a good start to new year but I’ve got to get motivated and get past this 12st mark which doesn’t want to play fair lol but onward and down wards
Start weight 17th August 2020 14st-2lb
Last weigh in 12st
This week weight 12st - 2lb
Gained 2lb
Better luck next week I pry
Good luck everyone have a great wkend and week 🥰🥰😘😘
A piffling little 2 pounds - I ask you!! You've lost 28 pounds!! Now that's the real result. It seems that "plateauing" is very much a theme this week; many of us have experienced it over the last week or 2. So, as you say, onwards and downwards - it will come good for you eventually. Never give up!! Best wishes and good luck.
Hi Letsrock66Onwards and downwards, you don’t know why you have not lost, I don’t know why I lost a bit more this week! It is hard to pinpoint sometimes but good luck for the coming week. xxx
Thank you MoreorlessI know why I have gained on New Year’s Day a close family member kissed her battle against Covid and I was on a downer and eating everything in sight so I’m trying to motivate myself this morning went for a walk and I’ve just done some exercise in doors
Ginge is right....2lb is a tiny amount. I always find that I hover for a few weeks when I’m about to go down to the next stone. Weight loss is a process, we’re not going to lose every week and a lot of it can be dependent on what we’ve eaten the night before. I’m looking at your 2st and thinking wow. 😊
Hello CarolineInteresting poster, free workouts? Have you tried it? Any good? I will look it up later. A lot of people have said recently that COVID is getting very close to them. Hope you get out with your dog for a walk. It is dry here, so will go for my walk after I have posted.
Very good weigh in for me and unexpected loss!
My start weigh was 13st 3 lbs
Last week 11st 8lbs
This week: 11st 6lbs
Loss from last week: 2lbs
Total loss:1st 11lbs
My waist is 35ins
I have tried to think what I have been doing, if I knew I could keep doing it but I don’t. Have a good week everyone!
Great loss.....I’m beginning to think that sometimes overthinking creates stress which then doesn’t help on the scales. Keep on doing what you are doing.....you’re smashing it 😊
A good week Moreorless well done. Enjoy your walk. I get out when it’s quiet early morning. I try to stay away from others. I have found myself holding my breath when walking passed people. 🤣
Hi Caroline and thanks for hosting.....you’re having a really bumpy ride at the moment. Everyone I speak to at the moment has either had Covid, or knows someone who has got it. I’m in sunny Essex and the rates have been awful. You stay safe when you are out and about.I’m back into the groove now
You are doing good H61g well done. 2 Morelos gone. Well done. It’s not so sunny in London today it’s cold.I least it’s not rainy today. Fab that you are back in the groove. Hope some of that rubs onto me this week. Take care.😊😊
i am pleased again, though i haven't lost, i haven't gained and i have been finishing up Christmas treats slowly, so it makes sense.
start weight 16 st

this week i tighten my belt.also all being well i shall be graduating from c25k as i just am about to do w9r2. i cant believe i got here. if i can do it, anyone can. i go very very slow, but i do it. every week its been gritting my teeth and mind over matter but i am doing it. i am very very proud.
its absolutely knackering. but well well worth the effort. i just wrote this about it on their forum
''hi everyone! yes, i changed my name. i no longer feel that desperation to change i had when i started. i have changed already! with huge progress thru mental will and strength( as i am certainly not a natural runner and not very fit at all...) so i thought 'changing woman' described me better than 'dying to change'. i am no longer dying for anything. i can honestly say i try my absolute best on every single run. i really give this my all. i am still slow as anything. i cannot go any faster. i still find every run a real challenge (understatement) i still flag often, but i do it, I KEEP GOING ,ON AND ON, i still manage every one , week after week, one after the other... i will have done this programme in 12 weeks, with one week extra on week 4 and Christmas stretching it from 9 weeks, and it's like a miracle. this programme is pretty clever. i would love one more thing... to enjoy it. maybe that comes after graduation. i wont give up. i said i would would see graduation and not give up and i have (nearly there) i am not a giver upper. the best thing this has taught me is this: things i am sure i absolutely cannot do....i can! how good is that!!!how daunting was one minute to start with? if you had said i would manage to squeeze out 30 minutes at the end to me at the start i would have thought you were mad! written with all best wishes from changing woman, and thank you ALL for your support. this forum is second to none. it is the best i ever came across on line. its enabled me to do it at all. and my BF most of all. he of the stop watch. and the holder of the gold medal for me on tuesday...''
Thank you soooo much. I’m currently lay on the bed thinking I should go out, and you’ve inspired me to get my trainers on.....,Ive never run for a bus, so it does all feel quite daunting. Loving the name change 😊
That's not bad at all. I agree with Bridge Girl. For some reason it's hardee this time of year and with covid on top it doesn't help matters. Have a good week x
