Hello Coolly and welcome to the weight loss forum. Please have a good read of the Pinned Post “Welcome Newbies”. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
This is a very large community with lots going on. May I suggest you use the webpage as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around. Take your time and follow every thread so that you know exactly what’s going on.
Here’s the link for a “Tour” of the forum ,if you haven’t already taken it.
If you are following the NHS plan please check your BMI on the NHS site and obtain the correct amount of calories for you.

The Daily Diary and the Weekly Weigh ins are very good places to begin. You will find the DD and WI in the Pinned Posts under “Events”
I find the Daily Diary a very good place to share my plans and get inspiration from other members, too. Once the day’s food is written down I’m far more likely to stay on track.
The key to success is participation, we are all on the same journey.
If you can’t find something just shout, there’s usually someone around.
I hope to “see” you around, Good Luck.🍀😉
If your really struggling because you think your goals are just too hard to reach, and begin to believe they're simply unrealistic, change them up. Rather than saying to yourself, right I need to loose weight so I look great and have a flat stomach etc... You should take it one step at a time, if you have a belt you wear with jeans then make your first goal to move down to the next hole on your belt. And so on, gradually you'll start noticing the notches get further and further down your belt.... This is what I did and I have to punch new holes in the belt, and even had to cut some of the end of it off! Rather than just looking at the scales to show a pound a two a week (which really isn't noticeable on your figure until your close to being lean) it really proves that your getting somewhere, and youll have notches and wear marks in your belt from where your buckle once sat. It's truly satisfying!
Here's a photo of belt showing the wear marks as I lost weight... i.ibb.co/Sw7HVrq/20201127-1...
Hi thank you for your helpful advise . I love eating fruit so that is good place to start. Do skip breakfast which is not good. Any good advise to what I can make quickly before I go to work.
If you go for cereal, stick to wheatabix, shredded wheat, bran flakes - i.e. any of the few cereals which don't have loads of added sugar. If you love fruit, add sliced banana, berries etc... but don't add any sugar.
You could do boiled/poached/scrambled eggs, but only have one slice of toast and try to avoid too much butter.
Porridge is also good, you can even prepare it the night before if you need it to be quick in the morning - porridge pre-prepared thickens up much better than when it's freshly made
