How can I stay on track?

Hello all, I’m new and I need a little support. I’ve lost a stone & half in the past year, but that’s still a stone away from goal and the pounds are starting to creep back on. One of the things I struggle with is keeping to my diet when other people in the house are eating delicious things! Motivation is hard at this time of year, any tips on how to stay on track would be very greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Hi and welcome, Lucyinthesky789 :)

Losing weight doesn't have to be about eating food that isn't delicious. You won't have to look far to see wonderful recipes and meal plans right here on the forum. Within no time, you could have everyone else in the house drooling over your meals :)

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

If you haven't already taken it, here's a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

If you weigh less you need to eat less. Make it special and tasty. Or put the rest of them on a diet!

Iam new too. Congratulation for losing the weight. I have suffered from similar problems. Of losing the weight and then slowly finding it coming back.

We need to find ways to be constantly on guard and vigilant.

In case weight creeps back?

At the moment Iam considering incorporating both intermittent fasting and perhaps 24 hour fasting in my plan.

My lot rarely contribute to ideas either for shopping or meals so they now get what I want to eat. Lo and behold they're not bothered.. Turns out I'm a feeder!

I've been buying stuff I think they'd like and reality is they'll eat anything put in front of them.. Who knew?

First question, what is your BMI so I am able to gauge where you are.The winter months are very hard because of the weather and outdoor training and running is that much harder due to the cold.

Are you a vegetarian, because if your weight is starting to plateau then you must examine where you are taking on cheap calories.

Alcohol represents the cheapest calories, then sweet puddings and cakes.

Going vegetarian and abstaining from using alcohol would be a good start.

If you reply I shall see if I am able to relate to your experience and assist you further.

It is really hard I have two sons and when I was trying to loose weight when they had treats especially when we were watching movie I made sure I had something which i liked and felt like a treat for me. I like fruit especially strawberries and cherries that way I have treat what you have to remember is why you are trying to lose weight what is more important to you. I have found people when they find out you are dieting say go on just have one it won't hurt but one leads to another and all your good work is for nothing and you will feel awful. So keep strong and stick to your plan.
