I’m currently vegan but i’m thinking of doing a LCHF vegan diet as i eat around 150 grams of carbs a day. I’ve noticed that carbs just make me feel bloated and not great. On LCHF how many grams of carbs a day is acceptable? 20? 30? I’d find it difficult to do any lower than 30 due to my love of fruit. Any advice would be helpful on carb intake! Thank you

I’m on a vegetarian lchf and I have less than 40g. Remember that to avoid losing muscle, you need at least 60g protein a day , I have about 90. These are my macros - the balance is fat.
I only eat berries , I have low carb liv life bread rarely. Low carb konjak noodles. Lo dough for pizza bases and wraps .
Thank you I currently eat around 65g protein a day so i reckon i can stick to this easily. How many grams of fat a day would you say you have? I’m struggling to get past 60g of fat due to not having dairy/meat/fish/eggs , but i don’t eat these things due to ethical reasons and could never go back to eating them.
I understand . My main fat source is olive oil and nuts and coconut oil. I’ll make peanut butter chocokate fat bombs as a treat , pile the olive oil onto salad , daily avocado.
I don’t track fat as I track calories, carbs and protein as I’m trying to lose weight - the balance is fat . Sometimes I just have a teaspoon of coconut oil as a snack where other people might eat cheese ; I chill olive oil in a tub and then use it as a spread .
As a meat-eater I'm on around 45g/day. Even coming in at say 60g/day would make an impact against 150g I expect. Excess fruit can cause it's own issues due to the natural sugar content, but it's all about finding a balance, isn't it. 😄
I suspect what you want to do isn't technically possible, at least not without ending up with some odd-looking meals. I have a vegan friend who eats a fairly modest carb intake and adds fat from various seed oils (mostly coconut products) but her diet isn't even close to LCHF. Perhaps this would be adequate for you? There's no need to attempt to go "keto" - on a vegan diet you'll almost certainly run into big trouble if you try. 100g per day net carbs might be a sensible target to aim for: you'll end up with most of those carbs in legumes, I'm guessing.
While I applaud your ethical stance re. the meat industry, you may not be aware how harmful veganism can be both to the environment and to animal welfare. It's counterintuitive, but eating less meat/eggs/dairy does not necessarily result in less harm. The devil is in the details, and veganism is being pushed by politicians and agribusiness these days partly for cynical profit-related reasons and partly because these people simply don't know anything about ecology or farming.
In short, you might want to reevaluate your stance (depending on your ethical goals) to include - for example - milk from ethically-raised cows, as many Eastern vegans do. Farmers who practice regenerative agriculture still kill animals (male chickens, for example, are typically slaughtered for meat at 4 months), but so does the farmer who grows your wheat and your potatoes. The only difference is that the latter does it thoughtlessly, and does not even care how much death he causes, whereas the former does it with a measure of respect for Nature and the way She works.
