My app says I’m low on protein and high on carbs. I’m a veggie, won’t eat fish, but not vegan, any suggestions?

Protein and Carbs
What are the sources of protein in your way of eating?
I’ve mostly been eating quorn and I like eggs too
There are lots of options for eggs - omelettes and fritattas packed with veg; baked egg in a bed of veg; shakshuka; egg "muffins" with veg of your choice are a portable lunch. I haven't used quorn but you could build up a range of menus combining it with your favourite veg.

I drink a lot of skimmed milk and also use a lot of tofu and low fat yogurt. I also try and get kidney beans, blackeyed beans, peanut butter, wintergreens, linseeds and other proteiny items into what I am cooking. Finally I usually swop whole grain rice and barley rather than white rice. Often instead on one big protein item on the plate, there are a few grams of protein folded into every food item. Eat lots. Enjoy!
I’ve just checked and my protein is 97% today, so I think all the advice is working 🙂, thank you.
For the record, no one seems to now how much protein humans need. On source's protein deficiency, is another's RDI and a third source's excess.
Apps have to pick a number. It might be way more than you actually need, or way less.
The Vegetarian Society have some really useful information 😊
Thank you.
Eggs, tofu, nuts, Greek full fat yogurt, full fat cottage cheese, tempeh, seeds. Very filling too
Thank you, I tried tofu and don’t like it even when it’s marinaded, but the others re good ideas, thank you.
I am also vegetarian - and top up on protein with delicious, zero sugar whey protein shakes Perfect to get just the right amount of protein you still need at the end of each day. Hope you find this useful
Eggs and nutritional yeast.
Oh never thought of either, thank you.
How about eggs, lentils, Quinoa, Almonds, Quark and other dairy foods?
Try cottage cheese or peanut butter, eggs if you eat them.
