Its week 15 and I'm only just starting to get fed up with my eating plan. I want to eat, eat, eat!!!! I expected this around this time because I am now in the DANGER ZONE!!!! Assuming I can get through this current stone bracket and into to 20s it will be the lowest weight I have been in years, I can't actually recall when I was last in the 20s. I'm feeling the pressure. I want to stay focused and keep going, I hope I can ride this out.
Stay strong and remember why you're on a healthy eating journey. You say you want to eat...but what do you want to eat...what satisfaction will you get from it or are expecting to get from it?
I want to eat all the unhealthy stuff because that's how I lived for so long and got me to 25 stone. I know it will bring me nothing but guilty, misery after a momentary high.
Hi, for me when I am struggling and on the verge of binge eating, which happens quite often, I try to focus on why I want to loose weight. Also when I look back to all the time I have spent trying to loose weight, instead of getting on with my life, it helps me focus on the here and now and what is important to me. Especially as I'm not getting any younger and time seems to speed up as you get older. Hope this helps : )
Hi first I want to congratulate you for loosing 2 stone 7 that is amazing and you should feel very very proud of that, that’s amazing! You have also done 15 weeks, why give up now, you will just regret it and you are doing incredibly well. Just think of the dieting not just for loosing weight it’s to make you feel good and to feel better, to feel healthier and to live longer. If you look at the whole picture and tell yourself you can do this, you will eventually get to where you want to be. It doesn’t matter how long it takes just keep telling yourself you are going to eat healthier. Imagine how you would feel if you gave up, you will be flushing away all your good work over the last 15 weeks, you will regret that. Keep going, you have done the hardest bit by starting!!!Good luck!!!!!
That’s so good to read, keep telling yourself that, if you give up now it won’t take 15 weeks to put back on the weight, in reality it is likely to go on much quicker, which is very sad! Did you take a picture 15 weeks ago, if you did, take one now, I am sure you will see a difference. Or why not write down all the benefits over the last 15 weeks, may be do a big poster of benefits and stick it on the fridge. Perhaps you can move easier, perhaps there are all sorts of things that has improved that you just haven’t realised yet. You must be in slightly smaller clothes, imagine getting down to the next size clothes and how that would make you feel. It’s not always about standing on the scales as I sometimes think you loose weight that the scales don’t show so continue and you will succeed? Good luck!
I did take photos, I'm just not seeing much of a difference yet because I've got so much to lose. So must keeping going to get that difference I'm chasing after. Clothes are getting a little bit baggy and one of my rewards is to go through my multiples hoards of stored clothes to change my wardrobe. But that reward is 2 stone away. No point letting myself have that treat before because I know I need to be that weight to fit into many of my stored clothes. Impatient lol
Your not alone, yesterday I looked through my wardrobes as I was feeling a bit cold and tried to find a nice jumper, I have thousands but sadly none fitted🤣 I use to buy lots of clothes when I was a size 8, realistically I Probably wouldn’t look good that skinny now I am older. I am determined to loose enough to get into a size 12 that is where I would be happy. We just need to keep going and eventually we will get there! 🤞along with lots of determination.
Hi, it's probably stating the obvious but you need a plan you can enjoy for life if you're going to lose the weight and keep it lost. It doesn't sound as though you're there yet. I hope you can work it out
That's the odd thing I'm perfectly happy with the plan, but I just want to eat today. I'm bored because I used to live to eat, I'm now trying to eat to live and that change is what I'm finding dull at time. Its hard to not find eating a normal amount of food dull when I used to eat enough for 3 people. Terrible mind set
If it’s dry out why not go for a walk with your favourite music plugged in, that’s what I am about to do as it is dry at the moment. Yesterday rained all day! I think a good walk with music helps lift your mood and makes you feel much better, it sort of relieves the boredom. Bye for now as I am off out. 😁
Flo-jo is right, what keeps me going to the gym is having a couple of hours free to listen to my music. I don't think I would keep going back otherwise.
I struggle with this as well. With me it's just boredom. I bought a colouring book and a puzzle book. When I want to eat I pick one of those up and do a puzzle or a picture. If I still want to eat after that then I'm probably hungry and I'll go for a healthy snack. I'm trying not to give in to the urge to eat because I know if I do it once I'll get back into a rut. It's really hard but I know it will be worth it. I'm using non food rewards at the moment. I bought a new pair of jeans last week. I'm only halfway through my journey but it really helped motivate me when I bought one size down and they fit comfortably. I don't intend buying anymore new stuff until I reach my goal but that one small thing gave me a huge boost.
Well done for getting halfway through your journey

Thank you. I think I'll try this, I love a bit of colouring in 😄
Try looking on the internet, there are loads of skinny meals all different. I have started a recipe book and I have made lots of them. I make home made soup and use any veg. that I have, so far tasty soups. I lose most weight when I have home made soup for lunch. Good luck, don't give up, we are all here for you.
