Hello all, new today!
I'd got myself really fit, cycled to work every day and had just started running and had pushed to be able to run 10k in a go - slowly but surely.
I have asthma and at the end of last year, ended up in hospital with pneumonia. It's taken me SO long to recover. I still always feel like I need to have a nap after any exercise.
I started on the fitness train again in June. Got back to 5k running and then my ankle gave up!
We've had a long holiday in France and I even managed to drag myself all the way up to the top of Alpe d'Huez (very slowly) only to be hit by a 2 week quarantine...
Now that's over, I'm determined to get fit again and hoping for no more reasons to put it off! Starting a new job on Tuesday as well, though and struggle to keep two priorities in focus.
I've never been skinny, hovering usually around a BMI of 24.5 when I feel in shape but it's crept up to nearly 27.
We're thinking of trying to conceive and I want to give any baby the best possible chance as I'm no longer a spring chicken myself!
Really hoping this forum can help! Especially when I feel like I'm doing really well and think that I can stop trying so hard!
