I've lately been diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma following an infection I had before Christmas. Luckily it's curable, but what with MRI, CT and PET scans I found out something I never knew before - cancer cells feed on sugar. That's the cream slices cut out then! Back to the Keto.

Hi Goodnessknows!
Just responding to send you best wishes for your speedy treatment and recuperation.
I had also heard about the effect of sugar on certain cancer cells. All rather frightening really. I see that moreless has given you the link to the LCHF forum. Perhaps we'll see you over there?
Best wishes
Hello Goodnessknows,
They say every day is a school day and I have learnt something new today from your post...if ever there was motivation to reduce sugar intake that's got to be it.
Hope your treatment goes well and that you enjoy a speedy recovery 🙂
Thank you. As I've already said, I did the Keto diet when I was diagnosed pre diabetic and got rid of it in no time plus twenty pounds. It's crept up a bit what with Covid etc., but I'm getting back on track. Admit to eating comfort food when I had my tonsillectomy. The treatment is ongoing and I'm assured a cure! Apparently it's one of those that is curable.
Hello Goodnessknows, so sorry to read of your new diagnosis, I hope the treatment goes well for you with no bad side effects. Wishing you luck on loosing those few pounds you put on in lockdown, your certainly not alone on that one, and well done on jumping on it before it escalates too much, most wise of you. Best wishes
