Good luck and have a fantastic day also. 😄

I'm curious, are you doing some endurance exercise? I'll admit I've never tried one of these 'protein shakes'. Aren't they counter-productive to health improvement? Just my curiosity. 🤔

They help with me from snacking on rubbish when I do feel hungry x

Ah, if hunger is the problem, that might be either too much sugar or possibly not enough healthy fats. As an example, my go-to breakfast is a full-fat greek yoghurt with a spoon of double cream on the top. As there's so little sugar and there are healthy fats, I rarely get hunger/cravings in-between meals.

Just a thought. That might help prevent needing to swap one type of rubbish for another if the hunger is dealt with. 😊

Thanks going to do trail and test with everyone’s ideas to see what help. Appreciate it x

You also mentioned fruit as a breakfast choice. I don't think there's a general issue with fruit, so long as it's kept to one or two pieces a day max.

But the natural sugars in fruit, eaten first thing, could be contributing to hunger/cravings between meals.

Again, just another thought and best of luck with your process. 😊

Not so much a hunger it’s lack of ot in the mornings for me. Now it’s down to me to make sure I have something in the morning so not eating too late at night. Shift patterns don’t help.

Just a personal view but I would say the best way to change your health is by eating food, good nutritious food :) Have a look at the ingredients in those shakes. See how many there are and how many you can pronounce or have heard of

I’ve checked I’m these out but am planning on meal prep but know I never feel hungry till around 2-3pm so I’m going to have fruit or shake in mornings I’ve checked with dietitian and they have said if it works for me no harm. But thank you. X

As long as you know what you're taking in :) I just looked a couple up for interest and didn't know what most of the stuff in them was.

Another option for protein would be a boiled egg or a chunk of cheese. Or bake a batch of these when you have half an hour healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... , freeze them and take out a couple as you need them.

I'm not hungry in the morning, either. I usually have a couple of coffees with cream

Interesting that you feel you need some kind of sustenance before exercise. Research results vary but I’ve not found any convincing argument that we absolutely must eat before. Hydration is important, I know from my own experience that drinking before exercise is helpful. But I wouldn’t be forcing down Shakes (unless you enjoy them and find them helpful)
