I’m about to weight myself for the first time in a long time with the hope it will help me draw the line. As a busy mum of two sports mad boys I’ve decided it’s my time to stop hiding behind them and put my health first. I need to take back control of my eating and today is the day 💪🏼

Wishing you all the best
that's great - it's hard to face the numbers but easier once you've done it and made a start. You can do this
Huge hugs, you've made a great first step by coming here, the help and support on this site makes a huge difference, by joining in it helps me to stay focussed and there are some great ideas for menus. Spend some time finding your way around (I lurked for 6 weeks before I posted, which I don't recommend) Have a look at the daily diary where people post there daily meal plans. Good luck with your journey and I look forward to seeing your progress.
Hi, Bubbleg , Welcome
If you can "take control" you may find that you lose half a stone in the first week, ...but if your appetite does not want to let you, then cut down gradually, and do not worry if you do not lose weight the first week.

Rope in the "Sports mad boys" for support, appoint them as joint personal trainers, and get them to draw up an exercise program for you!
