Hi, will you be joining the Friday weigh in team, too? They will make you welcome and it's a great place for team support

How does it work? Do you weigh at home and then just post the results as Im not sure how it works

That's right. If you follow the link to Pinned Posts that moreless gave you this morning, scroll down the posts and you'll come to today's weigh in. If you read the opening post (and DON'T click on Write) that will explain what you need to do.

Do take some time going through the Pinned Posts so you know what's on offer :)

Hey good start that you are feeling positive. Definitely share tips and encourage and keep each other on track. It’s always good to be part of a group encouraging each other. Have joined the Friday weigh in ! Good luck 😀

Hello and welcome, Camilla123 :)

You'll find everything you need to use the forum by following this link healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... to Pinned Posts. I recommend joining a weekly weigh in (why not today?) and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans. And do join in with chats, ask questions and encourage others - it will all pay off for you.

All the best :)

Good for you. It's a great way of getting started with the forum.

Do take a few minutes to reply to some of the others posting there today: that way, we share the support around and you'll soon get to know people :)

Hey Camilla123 . Welcome! As others have said, lots of support in the forum to keep you motivated.

Your interim target is a good idea and it'll be an amazing achievement when you hit it.

What sort of eating and exercise plan are you following?

Camilla123 profile image

Hey

Not following a strict plan just healthy clean eating and exercising oh and less alcohol ! How about you ? Are you following a plan any tips. ? X

Good luck with it all. For me it's easier to have a target.

I'm calorie counting so aiming for around 1550-1700 a day. The intention is for me to lose around 1-2lbs a week for the next 12wks. I have a weigh in tomorrow, so will see what that looks like. It'll be my 4th! ⚖ So overall I want to lose a stone.

I've also stopped drinking alcohol Sunday to Wednesday, so I too have cut down! I used to have a glass or two every night which in the end I realised was out of habit rather than enjoyment.

For exercise I'm on Wk9 of the C25K and I do one boxfit class a week.

The key thing for me would be not to eat too little that you're hungry, because it makes it easier to snack. Also your body will start storing, making it harder to lose weight. I'm not overly strict with it, but I've started buying low or reduced fat alternatives where I can so I'm not giving up too much! 😁

Sounds like you’re really on track. I had to give up running due to injury but the c25k is really good. Definitely evening wine becomes a habit, I think having a 12wk goal makes it feel so much more achievable.

Well done to you though so far keep it up and hopefully you’ll get the results you want. I also found running changed my body shape although not always the scales so you’ll start to see a difference x

Yes it's definitely not all about the scales.

Sorry to hear about the injury. There are lots of ways to keep active. Good luck with your journey and see you in the forums!
