Well done for making a start. The 12 week plan is great and like you only just discovered it. Stick to 1400 calories and try to do some exercise drink water and reduce stress.

I started just over a week ago and have lost 4lbs. Like you I've tried every diet and none of them work in the long term. We all want quick fixes but I've finally 💡accepted that I have to make lifestyle changes. This forum is great and very supportive i use the free app myfitnesspal to track my calories through the day.

Hi and welcome LH,

It took me over 40 years to have my light bulb moment, but it's a fantastic feeling when you get it.

When you suddenly realise that this is for life, the pressure's off to "perform" and you can just get on with living.

Wishing you all the best for your weight loss journey :)

Thankyou☺️

Hi there, there are some really good tracking websites/apps. I use nutracheck which is not free but has a really accurate database and a very supportive forum. My fitness pal is another good one, this is free but you need to be bit careful with the data as some of it is not accurate. Good luck with your journey.

It all depends on how much you have to lose. I have approximately 7 1/2 stone to lose and my daily calorie allowance is high 1748 - 2247

As we lose weight, our calorie allowance reduces too. Hope this helps :)

Post and reply to posts...keeps you in the right frame of mind...and out of the fridge. Research also supports the premis that it works too!
