Hi and welcome, Error23UK
Quitting smoking is one of the best things you could have done for your health and now you need to get rid of the hand to mouth habit. I speak from experience, as it was nothing for me to quit smoking and gain 4 stone! I finally got it right by quitting smoking and joining this forum to lose the excess weight too.
Quite simply, all you have to do is stop all snacking and stick to three meals a day, eating only foods that don't have a list of ingredients, so meat, fish, eggs, full fat dairy, vegetables and a small amount of nuts and fruit. Make sure you include natural fat and steer clear of processed foods, including vegetable oils, low fat/fat free dairy products and sugar.
You'll get lots of meal ideas from our daily diary and the Topics section is full of tasty recipes.
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Wishing you all the best
