I'm in my first week of cutting back on sugars and feel very tired

Will this feeling go and be replaced by more energy? If so when?

On the up side the urge to eat sugary things like ice cream in the evenings has already gone which was always my nemesis.

Any thoughts are welcome - thanks

I can’t offer advice on sugar crashes, but just wanted to say, well done you! Sugar is sooooo tricky to quit but you’re going to be great

Thank you! Sugar is my go to when feeling tired, lonely, bored etc etc. I'm very motivated at the moment and just hope that this lasts.

I’m the same. With fibro and CFS sometimes I want a quick zap of energy just to get through that hour or so. And we all know it’s bad yet we all do it. If your motivation wains, go back to remembering the feelings you have now, and it’ll all be worth it. Go you xx

Sounds like a positive start. You'll get the most helpful comments if you let us know what you're eating overall, rather than just the sugar that you're cutting down on. I recommend sharing your meal plans on the Daily Diary and seeing what tips you can pick up there 🙂

I find apples help... it's said that an apple helps you get going more than coffee!
