Feel I'm eating the same sort of things every week!

Hi I'm new to this community. I've been following the NHS 12 week weight loss plan along with my partner. We have just started week 5 and so far I have lost 11 lbs and he has lost 14 lbs. I do all the cooking and food prep in our house (he does plenty else around the house ! ) but this week I'm struggling with ideas for lunches, whether at home or at work. We are both semi- retired so I have time to experiment, just need some ideas! We would both like to lose at least another stone and a half each so any meal plans would be helpful.

Hi Sonzi

11lbs in 5 weeks is great going, well done you and to your partner for losing 1 stone. Would you like a 7lb badge?

For ideas for meals take a look at the Topic section on the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. There are some post for meals in "Recipes/meals /snack" that you might find useful.

My favourite is the Hairy Dieters cook book. Delicious recipes, easily doable, all calorie counted. I also use some old Weight .Watchers books. Worth looking in your local charity shop for these.

I never thought of the hairy dieters, I'll try that, thank you!

I've got weight watchers books from previous diets but have never been particularly impressed when I've tried some of the recipes.

Hi and very well done to both of you👍👍😊😊⭐️⭐️

I have just bought myself a soup maker and I love it I am trying lots of different combinations of veg etc but also love the hairy bikers too.

Visit healthy choices NHS. A baked tatie 🥗 and 🐟. Plenty fresh fruit 🍉 and vegetables 🥒 🍜 soup. Quickest one ☝️ I know is lentil and tattie 🥔 soup 🍜 for the cold weather. Good luck 😉 to you both. G56👍

Just stick to more protein and less carbs. You know what's bad for you so don't eat too much of it. Also make your own sauces using oxo and tomatoes and herbs. Much healthier than shop bought. Good luck.

I have an app on my phone called "Easy meals" It has ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all calorie counted with nutritional values. Well done on your weight loss so far, you have both done brilliantly.

Congrats with the weightloss. I am also in week 5 and lost a stone. But like you really struggling to find different meals. Whlist I'm enjoying the lifestyle change, I could really do with a lot more variation for all meals. Still feeling encouraged though.

Well done to you too! A stone is fantastic! I'm going on holiday to Cuba at the end of February so I'm hoping to continue until then and work hard not to gain too much while I'm away as I'd like to keep losing once I get back.
