Lockdown

Does anyone else find themselves craving more because we’re stuck indoors? Especially with the rationing, it’s hard to get my mind off food. Does anyone have suggestions to beat this?

gman1961Restart April 2024

I was like that last week ,week 1 of my 2 week self isolating. I was able to work from home but eat rubbish the whole week.

This week's a bit different I'm not feeling 100% ,I'm less busy and eating less.

Can't work it out.

Stay Safe Hosannasmum.

Yes. I find it helps working in the garden perhaps because I'm a distance from the food and it also lifts my spirits.

Yes being closer to the fridge makes definitely it much harder to resist picking stuff from it all the time. My thing that i've set my self to go for it i set exact times for my meals and put an alarm, on my phone to eat only then, (i do find my self checking the clock every 5 mins when the time is coming close), but this helps me. :)

That’s a great idea, I found myself picking today and had to stop. I think I’ll set an alarm myself.

A routine really helps, as does meal planning and having a designated eating area 😊

just try to keep yourself busy or pick up a book to take your mind of it, maybe even think of doing a online course of interest and drink lots of water (think thirst first)
