We ended up going to this place three times this week. 😂 Once just the two of us for a ride out, when we saw add for a technical tour underground, so came back on Thursday with OH's cousin (I just walked around while the went it) and while there saw another add for science week so went back again, with our grandson, Rhys, for that. I would get a season ticket .... but it is free.
I topped 18,000 steps on the Thursday visit, and noticed a nature walk, it was closed because of the flooding, But have made a note to go when it all drys out.
Top left is Rhys with 'Peggy' who acts the part of a 40's miners wife and tells the small visitors all about her house.

That looks the sort of place I like. Especially the underground tour.
It’s amazing how many steps you can do when you’re enjoying yourself 😀
Is is a good little place, nice centre and shop, stables with Eric and Ernie the pit ponies, pit building you can look around, with information about them all, underground tour, nice play area, a nature walk with picnic tables and even a place to go indoors with your own food for indoor picnic it it turns cold .... here endeth the Yorkshire tourist board message for this week. 😂
I hope the tourist board are paying you commission 😂. Where is it? We live down south but we have a caravan and I’m always on the look out for potential places to visit. X
National Coal Mining Museum, Nr Wakefield. We go a few times a year. Little chap likes the play ground, but it was closed last week due to the weather damage. 😪
Looks really interesting Vale and I recommend Beamish, we took our children when they were young.
I see you have added a photo of your grandson, he looks great in his cap😊. I notice that your post isn’t locked, you may like to lock it, take a read of this,
