Mexican gluttony

Lost just over a stone then had an all inclusive to mexico (Puerto Vallarta). Holiday was magic but free ffod and booze all day is not good, steaks, salmon, lobster, cocktails, there were even optics in the room. Back on salads and protein and just back to where I was after 4 days.....keep focussed!

Recovering from all that in just 4 days is impressive. I reckon it would take me 4 months :O

Well done on getting back on track golfat !

Weight gained quickly usually comes off pretty quickly. But it's important to try and stay on track on a holiday, as there will be others in the future!

I used to see a holiday as a "holiday" from my healthy eating regime, but after 8 years on my weight loss journey I have practiced being a little more controlled.

I usually choose a self-catering holiday too which helps.

Or even bed, breakfast and evening meal. You don't have to NOT eat, just eat in moderation. I usually book a lovely hotel with maybe a gym, sauna, spa and swimming pool and just have breakfast at the hotel. I can enjoy the facilities without over indulging in food. We get out and about in the day, exploring the local area and maybe touring a bit further afield. I don't usually put weight on whilst on holiday even though I have Lupus and other autoimmune illnesses which makes me tired and possibly an underactive thyroid. I think it is the balance of eating and drinking in moderation and the exercise. Glad you enjoyed your holiday and well done for shifting that weight gain so quickly.

I know it’s been and before but nothing beats regular forum activity, especially the regular events like the Daily Diary and the Group Weigh-in’s .

Thursday is still open so you could pop along right now and join the team, 😊

Well done on pulling it back after just 4 days. Never heard of optics in room!!!! Hard trying to resist everything when all inclusive. One of reasons I wouldn't go on a cruise ( beside price for single use of cabin,) you hear of people putting on a stone
