Hello all thanks for all the encouraging posts I have read already. I am starting over after some very difficult times which have led to me overeating and drinking as a pretty useless way of numbing the pain. I am grateful to have found you and look forward to joining and sharing good and tough days.

I found joining in to be the best way of using this site. I highly recommend joining the Daily Diary where we chat about anything and everything as well as sharing our menù for the day. I've found that my eating habits have improved just by a little more organization.
Another good page is the weekly weigh in,choose which day you prefer to weigh in and become part of a team. I'm a member of the Tuesday Trimmers.

Sorry to read you that you have had difficult times. Over-eating is a classic way of trying to protect oneself and "make you feel better" although it really isnt really good for us .

But the best thing I think is feeling safe with others who get where you're at and support you in making good,healthy food choices. Bin processed stuff, reduce sugary food,eat more veg, build in good fats and low carbs. This might help...
