I am very frustrated. I am 46 years old and just over 16st and run and am a keen runner and cyclist, however I currently run an average of 25 miles per week as I am doing the London marathon. I eat a good diet and do not exceed 2000 calories.
My frustration is that I have not always exeecised as detailed above but as soon as I have started to exercise the weight has fell off me but since turning 40 my Metabolism seems to have dissapeared instead of just slowing down. I cannot shidt any weight at all.
Are there any tests that can be carried out to check the status of my metabolism and is there anything I can take to increase my metabolism?
Thanks

I ran a marathon at 60 on a low carb diet. Once you're fat adapted, you can keep going forever.
