Starting next Monday with the 12 week plan. Anyone else?

I’ve sort of been calorie counting for a while and try to stay around 1200 or under but the nhs plan says 1400. I understand and agree with what you just said but my brain says start Monday as that’s the start day on the chart πŸ˜„

πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ Start the chart on Tuesday and go crazy 😜 and finish on Monday. Seriously you're well on your way and will start seeing results. If it was me I'd be having an all merciful blowout if I was waiting untill Monday and then I'd have to undo the damage before I got back to my starting point. But that's me and that's why I have weight issues. Do what's right for you. This is your journey x

For the NHS plan, you need to get your calorie range (not a single figure) from the NHS BMI calculator. The 1400 figure is generic and suits very few of us. You're likely to have a higher range.

Makes sense, really. It's unlikely that one figure would suit both someone of 20 stones with 10 to lose and someone of 11 stones with 2 to lose.

Eating too little won't serve you well, long term.

My tip would be not to wait til Monday 😊 I always started a 'diet' on Monday, and more often than not failed by Friday!

I started here on a Saturday in January 2018, and with all the help and support I'm still here - 6 stone lighter πŸ˜‰

Thanks all. May well start today then. I’ve been quite good anyway πŸ˜„ it’s my daughters 6th birthday tomorrow and I’ll be making a chocolate Halloween themed cake πŸ‘€ willpower 🀞🏻

I'm starting today too. I know if I wait till Monday I'll binge all weekend 😢

enjoy your little one's birthday and make sure you factor the cake into your cals and you'll be fine 😊
