Hello and welcome Mahle,

We are not medical trained here, so any information given is for you to consider and maybe discuss with your Doctor.

You will find that many people here follow the Low Carb High Fat way of eating. Research shows that this eating style can be helpful with many medical conditions, I have found this article which makes an interesting read, but as I have already pointed out, I am not medically trained,

Weight loss is incredibly difficult when you are hypothyroid unless you have optimum levels of thyroid hormones. There is lots and lots of advice on the thyroid section on healthunlocked.

Good luck with the weight loss. As long as your thyroid levels are corrected with the correct amount off Thyroxine tablets use will find that your ability to lose weight should be the same as anyone else’s. I lost weight using the nhs 12 week plan and making small healthy changes each week. Good luck with your food choices. You can do this!
