Hello everyone, I have just joined this evening. I have struggled with my weight my whole life it feels like. I have tried every diet, slimmingworld, weight watchers, calorie counting etc. I can never seem to find long term success with any of these plans and end up falling off the wagon and back into bad habits. I really wish I could change my lifestyle for the better and be healthy. I struggle alot with comfort and binge eating. My current weight is 15st 7lbs I am 5ft 8. I would love to lose around 3 stones. I hope to find inspiration on here and get to know you all :-)

Hello and welcome, Bellatrix_lestrange :)

My suggestion would be to ditch the diets and aim for eating real food, home cooked, avoiding processed food and that includes anything labeled low fat or light or diet - all heavily processed :)

You can make the change you want and need. Have a look at these links. Take your time. There's no rush. This is your long term future you're planning for.

There is a huge amount of support on the forum. I recommend joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice - why not join the Sunday Super Slimmers in the morning? - and using the Daily Diary where people log their meal plans.

You will have been sent a welcome message so do look at the link to the Pinned Post, particularly the Welcome Newbies post which will help you find your way around.

The more you get involved, the more you'll get out of it so I hope we'll see you around :)

Welcome Bellatrix_lestrange

Nothing to really add on top of what BridgeGirl has given you. There's a lot to read and take in that she's linked but all of it worth while taking into consideration.

Involving yourself in many of the events and challenges here is a great way of learning more, making friends and receiving 24*7 support... through the good times and the bad.

Thank you Tiggerr, I will check out the events and challenges.

Bella we all struggle so you are not alone . For me the most important thing is a daily walk which must be a priority . Write down the things you must cut out and you will be amazed by the 19 Oct what you will have lost . We are here supporting you every step . You can do this and set your goal for Xmas .

in reply toLugsie

Thanks Lugsie, writing things down is a good idea. A daily walk is also something I would love to do.

Not what you're looking for?
