First day of health kick going brilliantly

First proper day of the new health kick is going brilliant. I have started planning my diet and exercise. Although I wasn't well enough to go out for a walk i have not stopped moving around indoors all day. I am more alert i can see, hear and smell more clearly, I am taking my time with eating and drinking. My tastebuds have definetely changed. I can now drink weaker squash and am not craving sugar or salt. I have had 3 light meals and no snacking inbetween. I have been moving all my furniture around and although I am sore from yesterday i worked through the pain. I have so much more space in my living room now for me to do more exercise and dancing. I have been sitting at my table and not on the sofa much and when i did sit on the sofa i was sitting up instead of lying down. I was a couch potato but not anymore. I can't sit still lol. I even sat outside and got to know my next door neighbour for the first time. Anyway just thought i would share my day with you all. Hope you are all having a good day, Onwards and upwards.

Great going Kylie and really happy for you :) I hope the pain is nothing serious, do be careful.

I have to ask but what do you mean by 'light meals'? I was wondering if you've got around to running the NHS BMI calculator to acquire your specific calorie range.

As you say, it feels much better to get up off the couch and how good that you got to meet your neighbour.

The pain is nothing serious. I had a colonoscopy on Wednesday and i was just a bit tender but much better today. I have done the BMI calculator and know my calorie allowance and done a food plan for today. I just mean smaller meals than what i used to have. I had a smaller portion of cereal, A light snack for lunch and ribs with lettuce for dinner. I couldn't start properly yesterday as even though i really wanted to i wasn't well enough to go out and buy healthier food. But i have bought plenty of healthy food today checking the labels to see how many calories and sugar and fat in each product and thinking about what i was putting in the trolley. I've also signed up for a health course.
