Just turned this on, so will try and persevere to the end. I don't think it will be making me think any different, but who knows
The keto all day cook book????? OMG her weight loss was phenomenal. And the cost was within budget and real food too.
Well there we go, it is official, Keto is the best diet for weight loss and cost
Her weight loss was amazing!! was this in 28 days too ? I've never heard of anyone losing that amount on any diet.
Yes it was in 28 days - take a read of this if you need more inspiration,

I also thought she was the only one whose complexion changed, she was glowing and full of vitality
Thanks for the inspiration lucigret, this is my first day back on lchf after having a short break, I would love a loss like that after 28 days but I don't lose weight like that, I would be happy with 7lb loss after a month
look at the link Moreless has put below to the LCHF and DietDoctor, if you haven't looked at it before. The recipes are great and all carbs are worked out for you
Hi, I'm not sure who you guys are talking about, can you tell me what I missed please?
Do you mean the television programme or DietDoctor?
One is programme comparing different weight loss methods. The second is website with good advice and recipes for low carb eating
I'm not sure, I saw the post above where someone mentioned the keto all day cookbook and mentioned someone's weight loss in 28 was phenomenal?
That was somebody in the television programme, and that is a very rapid weight loss, I haven’t seen the programme so can’t comment, but in my experience following a sustainable plan, with slow and steady fat loss, is the way to go.
We are all different and need to find our own way of eating, but mindset is everything, you have to want the weight loss MORE than the food item that’s tempting you
I tried the Keto diet and all it did was give me the runs urghh!!
Take a look at this and see if it will help

So it seems - I’m glad it’s real food as I tried a well known program which followed the same plan (lighter life) and had to give up cos I couldn’t bear their packets of mixes and shakes.
I personally would steer clear of any plan that involves buying their products. They are only interested in your money. Real food is what it is all about.
I have now officially turned into a pumpkin, which Admin usually do at 9pm, so I am going to roll my way up the stairs to my bed whilst you sit and plan your real food for tomorrow
Good night and thank you for alerting me to the TV programme tonight
I know I thought the same! I was supposed to start this week and didn’t realise that I couldn’t eat root veg or lentils totally messed it up!
Hop over to the LCHF forum, where you'll get more information and have a look at the Diet Doctor site.
Just watched it, thanks for the tip.
I think the LCHF woman was bound to lose most, as her BMI was proportionately higher than the others, BUT I am most heartened that the TV company did it that way, rather than giving her, say the Vegan or detox diet.
It shows the tide is turning.
And Dr Ranj is a GP
Should have been a percentage of weight lost.
I’ve not seen this but it’s on my list
Just watched this and was happy to see that the diets that were "proper" food were the ones that came out on top. The way they do these programs though does annoy me a little as it can make you think - oooh, i only need to do it for 28 days.
Not once did they make any comment / mention about finding something sustainable that is a lifestyle change and not just a quick fix.
My thoughts exactly Steelad, and the lady who lost the most was starting out quite a lot biggerso would have a bigger loss. Even so, 3 stone off in a Month is extreme!! The average for all the others was a nice steady 2/3lbs per week. What I took away from the programme is find a sustainable plan that makes you feel fit, well and energised 😊
I just hope viewers don't expect to go away from watching it thinking they will automatically lose 3 stone, 2 stone or even a stone each month. I can see how something like that can be interpreted in that way and apart from one line at the end saying "find something that suits you" there wasn't much about maintaining any of the "diets" over a sustained period.
That's my little grumble for the day LOL
Thousands of people have lost this weight on this lifestyle this quickly and stuck to it. Just join a keto group in Facebook to see the results. This is definitely a sustainable way of eating. I am 1 year and my husband 2 years. We feel too good to go back. Try it for yourself.
Don't get me wrong - i'm not saying Keto isn't sustainable. There are plenty of regulars on here following it and it's a great sustainable way to eat. It seems to be for you and your husband too which is great!
What i am saying is it's not possible - on any of the diets highlighted in this program ... to keep losing the weight at the rate they did over the 28 days.
This is what i was getting at. I could see the program being misconceived or interpreted in a way where people think they could lose huge amounts of weight every 28 days ... and that just isn't sustainable on any diet.
True, I also liked how the programme introduced exercise as well.
