I think the sugar monster was running rampant in January, I too survived Christmas with a 0.9kg loss and then made a birthday cake for a friend who we were seeing on a weekend away with 20 others and oh dear, huge spike on my weight loss graph (1.6kg gain in a week) luckily was able to leave the sugar monster locked in a cupboard where we were staying and got back on track but it did make me crave sugar for a bit but as there is nothing in the house I got back on track quite quickly and lost 2.3kg the following week so think the gain was water retention. Good luck with getting back on track, we are all banishing monsters.
yes I got through Christmas too only to have a sugar monster related wobble in the New Year too. After a few days had to get a grip, call time and ban the sugar. After a few days of craving sugar it eased off, the key is to stop feeding the cravings. Thankfully if I avoid sugar and processed carbs I don't crave it so back to healthier eating now Good luck with getting back on your lchf
