Will I have trouble losing weight and gaining.
Love to get knowledge on this.

Levothyroxine has quite a long half life, about 9-10 days in hypothyroid people, so it might take a bit of time for your body to adjust to the new dose. I usually start to see a difference properly within 6 weeks.
Every thyroid patient is different, but I find I have been able to lose weight slowly. I will find there are times where I can stick for 6-8 weeks, but then it will usually start to drop again. One thing I have found though, is that I can't drink alcohol, even a little, and consistently lose weight, as I don't think my body metabolises it well, so I find I don't drink very often. I think you have to be prepared for the fact it will take a while and you'll be fine.
Thanks for your reply. Greatly appreciate it.
I was so upset I went to the store and grabbed sugar and salty chips.
Know I have to go with the flow and take one day at a
time.
Eat healthy and exercise and do the best I can.
Thanks so much.
It’s really not easy. People think you take a tablet and you’re back to normal, but it’s far more complex and if it’s autoimmune, as mine is, it’s more complex again. And it’s hard to lose weight. My plateaus are legendary, I swear people think I must secretly be stuffing myself!
You are right about that about the meds. Couple of days they think and your up and ready. My nurse says it
takes a good month. End of my 3 Rd week starting to feel good. I am on synthtoid.
I almost do not want to weigh in because of the platou I am on .
We keep weighing in and say to ourselves we are doing the best we can a feel good about ourselves and do the best we can do.
I was so hurt when I got on the scale yesterday and bingo stayed the same.
Does sugar have a affect on your thyroid

The way I look at it, is staying the same is as much a victory as losing. It's almost like it's your body's way of getting used to the changes and digging in for the next round of weight loss. I like to think of it as a good thing now!
Last year, I started to focus on fuelling my body with nutritious foods and exercising to feel fit and well. I deliberately made weight loss a secondary issue and I have found plateaus easier to deal with. I calculated yesterday that I've not lost any weight for 5 weeks and it definitely hadn't felt that long, but in that time, I've lost a cm off my waist, started a bootcamp class and started running again.
My blood pressure is good, as is my cholesterol and resting heart rate, so these are all wins in my book!
I love your message!!! It's very inspiring in leading a healthy lifestyle.
I am going to start today not to lose weight but to be honest with myself and climb the Inspirational mountain of health.
Can I contact you when I need healthy and sound advice and encouragement to move on and stay committed.
Of course!
Thanks so much.
I always start my life changes on Monday's. Fresh week - fresh mind.
This weeks goal to startrb my journey is to step on k
scales on Tuesday.
Either stay the same up 2 to 3 pounds. I had some sugar on Friday night and Saturday night. I am going to use this as a learning experience. Excercise.
No more self pity.
I have thyroid problems. Take.the bull by horns and do it.
You might find you haven't gained anything on Tuesday - I'm not too bad with sugar overall, although I do try and keep it to a minimum.
I stepped on the scale and gained 4 pounds. Back to where I started.
I am 233.4 pounds.
I do want to say I want to pig out but this is where it got me.
You are so lucky you're not hooked on sugar. An addition in itself.
I am drinking water and trying to eat 3 meals plus night lunch.
What's night lunch?
