Morning.
So I had a really bad weekend and over indulged a lot! Pizza wine and chocolate were just a few of the bad things. I am going to Rome for the weekend on Friday I am really worried the weight is just going to creep up.

Hi,
Why not plan some healthy meals during this week to compensate?
Add some vegetables and remove some pasta from your plate? Go for a walk each day? Or some other calorie burning activity- cleaning the house etc? Finally at the weekend can you plan something active in Rome? Visit a museum to compensate for the delicious food?
You can also plan to not have big helpings? Then you won’t eat too much? If you want wine, pizza and chocolate this is fine, after all the long term plan is about adjusting your choices not a short term crash diet. Just remember to count the calories! Instead of thinking you’ve ruined your plan and therefore finishing the whole bottle/pie/box, just take a smaller portion and make sure you savor the moment. You might just plan a small breakfast and lunch and a lovely dinner?
Good looking luck and have a wonderful weekend,
Sarah
Thank you for all your advise. I ate small portions today and all very healthy. Will be good all week in preparation for the trip and lots of walking involved so hopefully will not be so bad. Just hope it is enough.
Hi Simbab, well done for today back on track! Do be careful not to eat too little though, I did that last week and the following day I was just starving and ate everything I could find! I meant eat small portions of unhealthy food to satisfy any cravings, but still to keep to your daily range from the NHS BMI calculator. Does that make sense? Cheers, Sarah
Sage advice from Sarah. In your position would set out with the idea I am just going to minimise any gain and enjoy life. Take credit for every healthy choice you make - a smaller portion, stopping when full, a tomato-based sauce rather than a creamy one...and whatever the damage it will be much less than it might have been.
