No surprise here as I have been gaining weight over the last 9 years and never never manage to loose a nanogram.
My GP refuses to help me even after asking him for years now.
Maybe I should start smoking again. (stopped 9 years ago)

Step by step zagemeel . . . It will take time to re-train your brain into a different way of eating 😕
All I can suggest is coming onto the forum regularly, and joining in with Posts, especially the Daily Diary, then we can help, you with your meal plans. Countless studies show having group support is essential for weight loss.
Good luck
Anna
IndigoBlue61 I am doing this for 9 years Anna. I feel very let down by the NHS. n 2012 i had a almost 5 kg Fibroid taken out. Now I am 6 operations further and still left with 2 ovarian cysts entangled in bowel adhesions. Too heavy to operate on . They closed me up and dumped me in 2014. I am loosing Faith. Not allowed to exercise and eating is scary because of bowel obstructions . I am in a mess and my GP is not at all willing to help me .
Oh that’s sad zagemeel 😢 I really feel for you. It’s very difficult to reverse a negative spiral, trust me, I’ve been there.
Have you tried the 12 Week plan? I am presuming you know which foods you can and can’t eat? Just making quite small changes can make big difference. Please join the Daily Diary and tell us exactly what you eat and then someone will be able to advise you.
And when you say your not allowed to exercise, are you able to walk? I started out walking for 10 minutes twice a day (with 2 sticks) and found this really helpful
Best wishes
Anna
Like Anna has just said, 'step by step' zagemeel
Changing a lifetime of unhealthy habits is more akin to training for a marathon. None of us here woke up one day and suddenly everything was right (far from it).
Think about what went wrong and create a plan to do something different the next time.
You're feeling negative feelings but you did well to post here before doing anything you might regret.
You are a strong person to have given up smoking and now you need to harness that strength and keep persisting.
Don't smoke again!! So bad for your health. I understand though. I smoked 25 years. Give a healthy diet a chance. You can do this.
I do eat healthy . The weight is just not shifting. Been trying to loose weight now for a good 5 years . Never lost a single lb. Even when I stay on lower calorie intake. I keep growing bigger and bigger . I was always very slim until 20 years ago and from then it went upwards in weight. 2 kids 12 operations and 9 years off the fags
Sorry. For me it's meds that make me fat. Almost impossible to lose anything. Do you exercise at all?
I walk , Swim and do light gym sessions for disabled people. My health is very poor. Onwel adhesions, ovarian cysts, and pulmonary Sarcoidosis.
Makes me realise how lucky I am apart from being overweight which is a big issue I’m 64 and have no health problems and I would like to continue like it if god willing.
