I know the NHS app has a calorie checker but I can’t find anywhere to store the number of calories I’m eating during the day. I thought it would be a simple matter of checking a food then adding it to my ongoing daily total in an app but it seems I need to keep a notepad and pen with me at all times. Surely that can’t be right? There must be an easier way to tot up your daily calories? Any advice welcome

Use a different app, like MyFitnessPal, GSW.
Sorry I can't help. I always used a notebook and didn't find it a nuisance. Hope you find something to suit .🙂
I also use MFP and a notebook and pen. I find planning essential and use paper and pen for this, both to plan the twice weekly food shop and record actual calories. It may seem time consuming initially but trust me, you’ll soon get the hang of it 😊
The NHS uses a calorie checker supplied by Nutracheck. Nutracheck have a ‘paid for’ app which I use. It is uk based so has most of the uk supermarket products in its database. It’s not too expensive. 😊
I'm glad you asked that question, because I was hoping that there would be something out there to use, too. My kitchen is drowning in bits of paper, and I keep checking the calories of the same things because I can't find where I wrote it down!! There must be an easier way, unless, of course, I simply memorise the calorific value of Every Food Ever Eaten By Me. (Yikes!)
