Help me i new here

Hi all, here I am doing my daily jobsearching online and reading my emails when the latest one from Health Unlocked pops up, and reminds me that I not read them for some time. Upon reading them I realise that my diet is rubbish, my exercise is almost non existent, and my state of mind is in the ground, I do suffer from clinical depression and on medication for it, but it is not helping me at present, I don't eat at all during the day, then have a big meal at tea time (about 5pm) with my mum, then the rest of the evening I snack, for example, last nite, I eat 2 caramel snack bars, 2 scones with lemon and lime marmalade and clotted cream, 2 bags of fish and chips (salt and vinegar flavoured) crisps, and then debated but decided against eating a whole small pot of café latte flavoured ice cream, and that was all between 7-9pm. this morning friend took me out for brekkie, I had a full English cooked breakfast, and feel stuffed now, but also got a big family pack of galaxy counters chocs open beside the laptop. I need to now loose about 9 stone, gained 1/2 stone in a week up to today Help

Hello Tabatha,

Welcome to this very friendly and supportive forum. I think the first thing you should do is take a breath lol.

Suffering with depression is not easy, do you think it may be a good idea to go back to your Doctor and tell him that you don't feel that the medication is helping?

I think it would be a very good idea for you to take some time to think carefully about how you are going to change your day to include good healthy meals and not just eat a big meal at the end. If you started to eat a good breakfast that would keep you going until lunch time and then lunch, you will find that after your dinner in the evening you won't need all those snacks. A great place to go on the forum for help with planning is the Daily Diary. You will be able to see other peoples menu's and pinch ideas.

You don't need to charge in and try changing everything at once. Take it a day at a time and make some small changes. How about starting out by having a breakfast every day.
