That looks very tasty Pineapple27 ...we're about to get stuck into mince and onions, perpetual spinach, carrots, the last of our purple sprouting broccoli and the final 'sweet dumpling' squash...about 650 in total and a big plate of food I'm leaving the remaining sprouting broccoli to go to seeds hopefully to provide more meals next year
We'll be sick of spinach this week - because of the cold/hot/cold/hot weather looks like it's ready to bolt so it's planned into three meals this week. It is lovely with a bit of butter and garlic...last week we had a glut of asparagus so fresh that putting butter on was a bit like gilding a lily
bar the mashed carrot n swede and roast tatties it's a lovely meal Sorry those two I am not keen on
1282 cals a bit low for me I aim for 1500 cals per day
I'm a shortie though.... so 1500 calories a day would cause me to gain! My maintenance rate is 1300!!! I don't think I've ever come across someone who didn't like roast potatoes!!
I agree! A classic English roast is an excellent weight-loss dinner, but swap out the potatoes, carrots and swede for (say) cauliflower and stir-fried kale and you're sorted.
That looks really nice, I could eat swede until it comes out of my ears. I'm a big red meat lover too so the steak is a winner!
