Day 4

I’ve managed to stay off alcohol by drinking lime and soda and no alcohol beer!

Managed 12,500 steps yesterday and have been digging for a couple of hours!

What I find hard is the emotional eating response when things are stressy with my teenage girls! Unless I am mindful I realise that I’ve eaten something without even realising it!

Any ideas?

As someone who loves food and flavour I have found the books by Tom Kerridge great inspiration for tasty 😋 but no carb meals.

You're doing great and also you've identified your danger moments, which is a positive step in the right direction. Can you try to plan ahead to do something differently next time you are in one of those stressy situations... maybe go for a walk or a jog or workout on the punchbag in the garage ;)

I think that that is a great idea 💡-challenge is to become mindful of what’s about to happen-reaching for a slice of bread/ packet of crisps before it does...... and then going a doing -I may making a little list of immediate things to go and do when the stressy situations occur! Thanks👍🏽

Well done Bec on being alcohol free, and also on the exercise 😊 Emotional eating is a difficult one, maybe have a look at this post to see if it has any useful suggestions. helpguide.org/articles/diet...

Thanks Anna

Bec100 - big fan of Tom Kerridge myself. Have a few of his books (even the full fat ones) and they are all great. The diet ones and great and the TV program was excellent.

Well done on staying off the alcohol too. I have to admit - i have fell off my "no midweek drink" rule this evening (Well, am about too!) I nipped to Morrisons on my way home to pick up a couple of birthday cards - i managed to avoid all the knocked down sausage rolls and apple pies in the bakery but after 10 hours of meetings and studying at work in a dark room - i didn't make it past the cider section without picking up a bottle. I felt i deserved a cool one - especially in this weather! :)

Dieting has to be real- though alcohol is a big calorie hole! Well done in missing the Susi sage rolls and 🥧! Hope you enjoyed your glass of cider....start again tomorrow
