I managed only 5378 steps today which shows how many I need to do tomorrow. I now realise I was only cheating myself by not logging anything. Calories were 736 + 76 for exercise but I always have trouble eating enough unless it's chocolate. So will do better tomorrow. Not sure where I'll walk tho, just around the houses I think. X

First day mark 2.
Hi at least you have managed some. I have had one or two days where I have been really off it and not moved enough but you can do more tomorrow. Have you tried Leslie Sansoms You Tube walks there are a lot to choose from and you can walk along in the comfort of your own home. I enjoy the mile long one as it is quite gentle. Good luck for upping those steps tomorrow. Bev ππππππ
Thanks I'll have a look. X
Did you really only eat 736 calories/ That's starvation unless you are doing 5:2 and it was a 'starve' day.
Whats does 76 for exercise mean?
Yes that's right. I posted before that I don't eat enough but could happily ear a kilo bar of chocolate in one sitting . I am upping my calories now eating the right foods, and 736 is a record for me! I have also been logging my steps with the jawbone up move and using mfp app. It is a great help. X 76 is the extra calories I've earn't from the steps I've done. X
Agree that seems awful low π Heslthy eating invokves a wide range of food types as well as calorie control π Please take good care of yourself
I have that eating problem too,
Hi, you did over 5000 steps, that's good, it's best to build up gradually with exercise so please don't be dissapointed. 736 calories for the day is very low, especially if you are planning to increase your exercise. I think both the Up and MFP give you nutrient breakdowns, it's really important to eat a balanced diet, please be careful not to make yourself ill. If you are struggling to eat enough maybe it would be a good idea to see your doctor who might refer you to a dietician. Stay well.
Thank you I did consider seeing my Doctor but it's a 4 week waiting time around here so I'll struggle on. I intend to increase my calories slowly as I've seen what healthy people eat and I'd never manage that much straight away! X
Perhaps just concentrate on the healthy eating rather than counting calories at the moment? If you can't eat much, make sure you are getting some protein in your meals every day, something small like a boiled egg, a small pot of natural yoghurt or a piece of salmon. You could put a few berries in the yoghurt, have a little veg with the fish. Keep your meals small and tasty.
One of the problems with sugar/chocolate is that our bodies love this source of energy, it can be quickly used as fuel and is very, very easy to store as fat. If you're not eating enough food your body is going to crave the sugar/ chocolate even more.
Good luck with sorting this out. It can take a while to break the sugar 'habit', I know it took me several goes.
I get what you are saying. But I wanted to track my food to see just how much I am eating and how much sugar etc I consume. I thought if I do it that way I'd have it in black and white so to speak and know where I I am going wrong. Does that sound ok do you think?
If it works for you, then go with it. Anything that makes you aware of what you are eating is going to be a good place to start.
