this is the start of my healthy eating plan and it has already been tested today.l had to pop back into work for some supervision and had my buttons pressed by my manager!!! my normal reaction would be to go and eat the fridge because l was angry, hurt and embaressed by what we discussed but l didn't.l was very angry inside but managed to remain relatively calm and explain myself[they want me to work more weekends for no extra money or incentives and l feel intimated into doing it.l have a lovely partner and l want to spend more time with him not less].
My food would always calm me down and relax me,numb me,push down the emotions that l don't think l even know how to cope with?? l can get angry, very angry but l have been unable to react positively to being and feeling like lm being taken advantage of.l just get angry at things and eat eat eat.
l think l need to manage my anger better x

l do hope so.l have trouble retaining information.l'm very very mildly undiagnosed l think dyslexic[why is this word so hard to spell].Or lve just learnt to cope with food when anger starts and can't see the wood for the trees x
Get your partner to read it to you and highlight the main points, then learn them parrot fashion.
The next time something triggers a food attack, take a deep breath and start rattling them off in your mind. Even if you don't act upon them, they may have the affect of diverting your attention away from food
Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy. - Aristotle and smudgersmith[well l did cut and paste it and l want a bit of credit for that] x
