Having suffered for over 20 years with Grave's disease, I have now reached an all time low (or high) in terms of my weight. I also eat inappropriately when under stress which doesn't help matters. I'm very conscious that my weight is impacting on my health and my husband's as I snore badly and am pretty sure I have sleep apnoea now too and often keep him awake at night. I need some help to stick to a healthy eating plan.
I'm new here: Having suffered for over... - Weight Loss Support
I'm new here
Hello Hidden and welcome to the forum, one of the administrators will be along soon and will direct you to the Newbies club to help guide you around the forum to get the full benefit of it.Have you decided how you will loose the weight? A lot of forum members seem to use the NHS 12 week weight loss plan (calorie counting) other use weight watchers or slimming world whilst others use the 5:2 or one of its variations and many other diets- there is no right way its whatever works for you. There are members who have health conditions which impact on their weight, physical disabilities, medication which can cause weight gain and thyroid problems and they have lost weight but slowly. The weight loss has also helped with snoring though not sure about sleep apnoea.
If you have any questions or having problems- stress eating etc then raise it on the forum and someone or several someone's should respond on what worked for them- may not work for you but will give you something to try and see what happens. You just need to remember when you post on here- click on the 'only followers' to see, which restricts your post to the forum rather than the whole internet.
Good luck
