Hello All, This is the first time I've ever posted anything. I've just found this site. I've tried for years to lose weight but with no success. This year I really do want to make a difference and feel that with some support I might be able to achieve some goals. I know that I've got a long road ahead of me. I'm 63, 5' 9" and weigh 143 kg. I thought that if I post my progress on-line I may receive some support and encouragement from some of you out there who are trying to do the same. So here goes! Wish me luck and watch this space!!
P.S. Happy New Year

When I joined, this time last year, I had also never got involved in posting on anything like this. It can be addictive but in a good, supportive and helpful way.
If you haven't already, follow the link that minniewinny has provided and you'll find everything you need to get started and how best to use this forum. Ask, if you have any questions at all.
Hello taximan and welcome! you have come to the right place for support, ideas and some good recipes!! I recommend you post often and read posts more often. there are some really inspiring people here and I have lost a stone 3 pounds (I think anyway.. it was 20 pounds) Sorry I am from Texas so I am not sure about stones and kgs but nevertheless I understand about weight loss. if you are like me you have been on almost every diet and none worked. this is not so much a diet as a new way of life. I am loving it so far and plan to keep it. I wish you all the good luck!
