I’m 5 foot 4 and weighing at 13 stone 2, i am ashamed of myself letting it go this far. My BMI shows i am OBESE. I can feel the weight and i feel heavy, my clothes are too tight. Please can someone tell me this will help me?

Good morning GingerOliver, recognising you have a problem and wanting to take action is good. I was a similar weight to you when I started out in July, I have lost some weight. The forum offers wonderful support. Wishing you lots of success on your weight lose journey.
Gingeroliver welcome darling... nice to meet you. just remember obese is just a word. if you want to lose weight I recommend you make little goals so that the number is not so daunting. I work on losing 1 to 2 pounds a week and have been usually successful so far. I have been doing this for 12 weeks and except for Christmas week (where I gained 3 pounds) I have been able to do it. I also recommend you post and read posts here where we are most supportive and will be happy to help you. I am sure an administrator has given you the links you need to start, I am just here to support ya! I am obese as well weighing in at 248 pounds and only 5 ft 5. but I have lost 20 pounds so far so I know this excellent forum works. I consider it a new way of life rather than a diet so it doesn't seem to hurt as bad lol. what I do is use smaller plates and smaller portions with a majority of my plate being veggies. I am trying new ways of cooking veggies and new veggies I have never eaten before and slowly it is working. I still do not like beets, but that is just me. anyway, I wish you all the luck and keep posting!

Hi Ginger I am the same as you even a bit heavier x so know how you feel x the last couple of days I have been putting things into plac3 to start my journey of los8ng the weight x like everyone els done all the slimming clubs and do not want to do that again x you can do this as I feel you don’t hav3 to see anyone and no one has to see what you write other then these lovely people who are on the same journey as us x Good x
