Welcome Majed. You have come to the right place! soon one of our fabulous admins will be in touch with a welcome letter and links to help you find your way around the site. My tips - come to the Forum daily, see what other people are saying and doing, ask questions and get support. We are highly non judgemental - and understand when the scales move up - temporarily - rather than down!
Good luck!
Hello Majed , what do you think the problem is? Are your portions too big? Do you do a lot of eating between meals? What about sweets and sugary drinks? Do you eat a lot of fast food and takeaways? If you're not sure, it might be worthwhile keeping a 100% honest diary of everything (I mean everything) you eat for a few days and deciding on one or two changes. You can change, one step at a time
welcome young one.. you have started early and that will make the journey last. I am sorry because I know you must feel bad about yourself, but that is about to change if you stay here and post and read all the wonderful things people have to say about the questions you will have today and later on. Majed, I am not sure what 100kg is but I weigh 248 pounds and have lost so far 20. I use smaller plates, go easy on the sugar and drink lots of water. being from Texas, we have huge portions so a smaller plate makes for smaller portions which helps a ton. you can do this, we all know you can so Chin up! if you have any questions, please ask. there is no such thing as a bad question. also I keep remembering something I heard once. it says .. there is nothing that tastes as good as feeling good feels.
Hi katy... there's about 2.2lbs to a kilo so 100kg is 220lb
Thank you I’ll reduce my portions from today onwards and will get back to you after
Hi Majed,
From 'Losing Weight' focussed approach, why don't you try the 'I will be fit' approach.
Because in reality you can't lose weight directly by thinking abou it.
You can grow active, fit, vibrant, energetic. When you do all this your weight will automatically drop. Your life will smile, you will feel more confident and lively.
Focus on well being, eating fruits, nuts, veggies. Focus on moving out for a jog, gym, walk.
Focus on building your strength, stamina, flexibility. Invest time in making yourself fitter.
Rest everything will fall in place.
Try this approach. It is amazing.
Hi Majed welcome to the forum,
I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or restarting. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

Hi majed, I really really hope that you use this forum. Just be active on here and it will do wonders for you. You honestly won’t feel alone. Katy9617 said exactly the right things so give it a go.
If ur not sure where to start just have a read of the nhs 12 week plan and follow that to start with. One bit of advice I would say is don’t leave this forum u r not alone and we are all rooting for you.
Hope to see your active on here and will keep an eye out for you. Remember slowly slowly we will do it 😀
I have to say that Majed is too young to follow the 12 week plan, Adheela and it would be advisable for them to seek the support and advice of a medical professional.
In the meantime, cutting out junk food like fizzy drinks, sweets, biscuits and cakes, will go a long way towards getting back on track.
Wishing you all the best Majed and don't be afraid to ask questions
Oops 😬 i just assumed it would be suitable. I should be more careful, thank god for admin on here!
Majed - the first thing to do is to write down for a week every single thing you eat - every bit of fruit veg, sandwich cake, snack etc drink, alcoholic and soft, and ever bit of walking, moving sports or not etc. and you can post it here if you like so we can together go over what might be a good idea to try and limit slowly from the daily schedule so you won't notice it's gone, but it will start making the difference - at 16 your metabolism is highest so you have an awesome chance of losing all the weight you want! I remember at 17 I could eat all i wanted put on 2 kg in one week and just eat a little bit less next week and lose it all back - now at 29 that's 2kg in and a month of starving myself to lose 1 kg :/.
We are here to help!
Tell us what is the most difficult thing for you about weight loss? What is most confusing?
I think with 100kg the focus should be first on weight loss with very low impact gentle exercise like walking to get the heart rate up as injury for an untrained person is just around the corner. Once we lose a bit of that weight we can introduce more exercise. And if you walk a lot you can walk off a lot of weight!!! I once walked off my cellulite which we all know is close to impossible to get rid off!
let us know!
Thanks a lot everyone I will hopefully be able to achieve my goals of being back to 75 Kg which I was 2 years ago
