Lose 2st in 16 weeks
You can do it! Good luck to you
Welcome Dani and I'm glad that you're not looking for a fad 'diet'.
Many of us here have followed the NHS 12 week plan to good success. The idea behind it is not to 'diet' but to create ourselves a healthy way of life. A life where we lose weight at a sensible rate but also provides us with the tools to be able to carry on living healthily, long after we have reached our goal.
An administrator will provide you with an official welcome but you can find the plan by clicking on 'Home' and it will be on the right hand side, as you scroll down the screen.
Have a good day.
hi and welcome Dani23
Weight loss is not linear and different people lose at different rates
I would suggest you have a good look at the NHS 12 week plan all the information can be found in the Newbie Club and also as Tiggerr has said the plan by clicking on 'Home' and it will be on the right hand side, as you scroll down the screen.
I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or restarting. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

Hello and welcome Dani23 😊
Hello Dani.
As a PCOS sufferer, it’s important to keep consumption of simple/refined carbohydrate to an absolute minimum. For example, aim to ensure that cakes, sweets and pastries are enjoyed only occasionally, alongside that of white varieties of bread, pasta, rice and potato.
With PCOS, the consumption of sugar stimulates insulin secretion, which increases the production of androgens (testosterone), making it difficult to reduce body fat.
Think, protein, fibre (complex carbs) and natural fat, alongside regular exercise and a sensible daily calorie deficit of up to 500Kcal.
As suggested by others, the NHS 12 Week Plan is a good starting point, providing you with an idea of what you ought to eat and that which is best avoided. Additionally, make use of the BMI calculator, to calculate energy requirements, based upon current measurements (age/weight/height) and level of activity.
Upon obtaining minimum/maximum recommendations, maintain a daily deficit from the maximum, ensuring that it doesn’t exceed the difference between the two amounts; minimum recommendation (or BMR) needs to be satisfied at the very least.
