Hi Middleagecreptup and welcome to the NHS weight loss forum. It's a very friendly, encouraging and helpful site, where we are all on the same journey to health.

If you haven't already, please read the Welcome Newbies post. It's in the Pinned Posts section, to the right of your screen, (bottom if you're on a mobile). You may also like to check out how many calories you should have each day using the BMI checker. Perhaps take your measurements as sometimes when the scales aren't being kind, we can still lose inches. Also a before photo (to compare when you lose that 2 stone) :)

Perhaps consider joining in our challenges, they're fun to do and help with motivation.

Be active on the forum, as that's where we exchange ideas and get our daily dose of motivation and inspiration. πŸ˜„

Enjoy the forum, and I wish you success with your goals.

Good luck πŸ˜€

Hello and welcome

Well done on starting the journey 😊 Hormones etc do make weight loss more difficult but not impossible πŸ˜• The best advice I had was don't try to reduce your calories too far, check your bmi and find your target calories 😊

Good luck

Thanks Diana.Ive got it my cupboard, alongside chlorella, baobab & lucuma.I've recently gone completely vegan,so made sure I was well stocked up.I had been using spirulina, but stopped as I think probably too much iodide for hypothyroidism.Spirulina can support healthy weight loss- worth checking it out if you haven't already.Tastes fine in smoothies.☺
