So yesterday was my first official weekly weigh in; and I have lost 2 lbs! I know its not very monumental, but it is really motivating me to carry on. I feel like its a small step in a long journey and I have to remind myself that it is okay to go slow.

That's a fantastic start πππ and as I am frequently reminded on here any loss no matter how small is still a loss.
Whether I lose 100g (about one quarter of a pound) or 400g (about a pound) I am happy with the downward movement. It took me 3 years to put the weight on (over 30k - almost 5 stone) so I'm quite happy if it takes me that long to lose it.
You are doing brilliantly and a steady loss is much much better than a dramatic loss as you are more likely to carry on without becoming frustrated.
