... and now I have lost nearly 5 kilos - one a week. And lost 2 inches around the waist. From 62.3kg down to 57.5kg. Feel lighter on my feet and my clothes fit! But I am dreading that I will lose control over Christmas. I would be really really sorry to gain all that I have striven to lose!

Nearly 5kgs in 5 weeks is great going Agens . It is a nice feeling isn't it when you start to feel lighter and your clothes fit better.

No need to dread Christmas it just needs some good planning. If you want a treat over the holiday then just have it planned in. Last year I gave myself a few days off but made sure on was back on track the day after boxing day and that worked well for me.

You're doing brilliantly Agens Maybe allow yourself a bit of leeway to enjoy a bit more than you are now. Of course be cautious but maybe let the fun bits of life be fun, there is no race but there is life to live.

It's a rare bird who doesn't gain a pound or two at christmas. This will be my 3rd christmas at my lower weight and I always expect ( and get) about a 3 lb gain in Christmas Week.

The secret is to continue to watch your food intake before and after , but enjoy a little of everything for a few days ( not a few weeks!!) . By a little I mean 2 or 3 quality street not the whole tin, a bottle or two of wine not a whole case . My weakness is the nibbles so I buy the family twiglets which they love but I dont.

There is no reason you can't join in all the fun without totally losing the plot for ever. Add in some walking from boxing day onwards and the worst damage should only be a few pounds, which you can lose again by mid Jan. Thats been my pattern for 3 years now. Have a fab Christmas !!

You won't ,just think of how well you have done .

Look at what others eat ,that helps me .
