Hello,

Looking forward to seeing the results of this 12 week journey. I am new to this and have been inspired by the positive comments. Any tips on how to be successful during the first couple of weeks?

Good luck.best decision i have ever made. I think.planning in advance is way to go. I keep.low calorie jellys and plenty of fruit for snacks. I only done walking to begin with or walking up and down stairs. If you feel hungry just keep busy. Drink plenty of water.if i can do it anyone can.this forum is fantastic xx

Hello JenLang and welcome.

I started by downloading the NHS 12 week programme, then checked my BMI. Based on that, I set a daily calorie limit. I measured my waist but nowhere else, which I wish I'd done - results don't only show up on the scales. I set myself an achievable first target of 7 lbs loss.

Then I started recording every morsel, checked out some recipes and tried some new dishes and new ingredients. I don't think eating healthily has to be boring and, like anything else, you're much more likely to stick to it if you enjoy it.

With regards to this forum, I started to find my way around, chose a day for my weekly weigh-in, read other people's post and started giving feedback.

I bet you'll approach the first couple of weeks with plenty of drive and positivity. You'll find your own way, but there are plenty of tools here to help you on your way, and loads of encouragement. Good luck!

Welcome!! Commit to two weeks and by then you should see results and want to keep going. Lots of water and walking. Good luck to you on your journey!!

Hi JenLang

Welcome

My tips

1. Make a definite plan as to the amount of calories you can eat each day and stick to it. You can calculate the amount by looking at the BMI calculator on here

2. Increase you physical activity. Walk at least 10000 steps a day

3. Be active on this web site and you’ll get support and you can give support

Then you’ll succceed

Best wishes
