Cheering you on to reach your goals 🎉🎉🎉
Hello and welcome Cathy_000 😊
Welcome Cathy.
Most other regimes will help the individual lose weight but don't necessary provide the tools to manage themselves afterwards. Read through the NHS 12 week plan which is designed to do both.
Good luck!
Thank you very much for your advice. By the time I have reached my goals previously I have been so tired and hungry and weak I stood no chance I realise of maintaining a thing! Looking forward to the start of this new route to better health.
Good for you.
You'll read lots of great advice whilst you're here and many inspirational stories. My main tip would be to try and get involved... weekly weigh-ins, daily diary, a challenge or two. Each time we write something down it makes it more real (or maybe that's just my perspective :).
All the best!
Welcome Cathy_000 i was a weight watchers member and a helper for years. I did lose 1.75 stone and then got stuck. I joined this site in May and have lost a further 19. There are lots of choices here and lots of support so dig in and happy weight loss!
I went to Weight Watchers for a while earlier this year as the council were offering 12 weeks free if your bmi was over 30 It did help kick start me but you do get fed up with going but I did find the points thing good and still use it on my own I keep the booklet handy and keep a tally for the day
The NHS plan is very good I hope it helps you
All the best ☺️
Thank you very much Cat33. I have been a gold member twice with WW, but it has become more and more about selling their products and more complicated that I have found it less and less helpful. In the end loosing wight all comes down to eating less and moving more. I like the idea of the NHS scheme as there shouldn't be that commercial element. I plan on doing my first weigh in on Wednesday as that would fit in best around Christmas. It's not going to be easy to lose three stone, but I shall break it down to baby steps. I really appreciate your encouragement, thank you.
