Hi I'm 14.7 stone and would love to get down to 10 stone. I would really like to lose a stone by Christmas which is 5 weeks away.
I'm lazy and overeat and wish I could overcome both these problems. I enjoy going for a walks. I've got 2 jack Russell's so they always enjoy good walks. We have great beaches and forests where I live but sometimes the motivation is just not there although when I do, I feel great after it.
There is no magic wand and it's down to willpower, attitude, resolve and motivation...someone please send me all these things in abundance!
I want to be a happier me 😊

Thank you, I definitely do think that my food choices are where my lethargy comes from. I know that when I lower my carbs I do lose weight and feel less bloated and cravings go but I struggle to keep it going for any period of time, and before I know it I've gained all weight I lost. I wish I didn't give in so easy and could be stronger at sticking to something. I think i need to really try my hardest to stick to what works for me and try and occupy my spare time better as I think that's when I start comfort eating or eating out of boredom or just eating for the sake of eating. Sitting down watching tv or being on the couch with the laptop for hours are my weakest points. I really need to force myself if I'm to succeed.
Hi there, I'm sure you can get to a healthy and happy weight - I'd echo what the lovely admin said and have a look at the info available on this site. It's important to make sure that you are eating enough as that way you are forming new healthy habits - and it's not too grim either once you get into it! Don't worry too much about when the weight will come off, slow and sure is better long term anyway, I don't have massive will power but early losses convinced me that I was on the right track and I made sure I built in some (non food) rewards for hitting significant targets. The only exercise I've done is to up my walking and cycling, and the walking has been the key for me as I fit it in to my normal day. Anyway, I take it day by day and now, just over a year since I began paying attention to this site, I'm happy maintaining a weight that's almost 5 stone less than when I started. I'm sure you can do it too. Good luck!
