Last week I was hoping to hit that 50 lb target, but as luck would have it I went and put a pound on.
This week however I have lost 5lbs and I have now just passed the 50 lb mark, role on 75 lbs that's my next target.
Back in March of this year I tipped the scales at 29 st 2.5 lbs that was March 31st, this morning I weighed in at 25 st 8.5 lbs, so a loss of 51 lbs so far and that amount lost in 7.5 months.

Calorie counting is definitely the way to go Pete57 and you are proof that that is true. 5lbs in one week is truly amazing. Well done and keep up the good work. EJ
What's my secret you ask, to be honest I don't really know myself I just seem to have tripped over something that works for me.
I have made some small changes to what I was having before, like changing my bread to medium as apposed to thick, instead of 4 weetabix for breakfast I have 2, less weetabix also means less milk, I also use about a 1/8 teaspoon of sugar on my weetabix.
I have no more than 2 coffee's on a normal day, I used to drink tonic water a lot now I drink flavoured water instead. These days I have a hot meal in the evening, normally pork, chicken or fish but whatever is on my plate I also load the plate with vegetables I have found a new love for steamed vegetables this also saves power too as I'm suddenly using one pan to cook everything instead of a pan for the potatoes, another for the carrots, another for the cauliflower, another for the celery or whatever I want.
I've also found a love for steamed celery, folks out there that only use celery in salads your really missing out on a great tasting vegetable.
I also think my medication plays a part too I have to take 3 water pills a day, like so many on here I am also disabled so I'm limited to what I can and can't do my idea of excercise these days is watching it on TV as my Doctor would have a blue fit if I did anything other than walking and as both knee's are shot that also means crutches these days just to complicate matters. Like others here I am just too heavy for the hospital to consider for any operations so the weight has to go if my knee's are to be sorted out and that's only for starters . But that as they say is another story.
