Hi everyone, this week I have lost 1 lb bringing my current weight to 12 st 10 lbs I had hoped for more as I have really put in the work, but on the bright side I have lost 62 lbs to date and I am very proud of that
Other losses this week include 1/2 inch off hips 1/2 inch off waist 2 inchs off thigh and 1 inch off bust so that's 4 inches all over so that is my added bonus for this week. The 2 off my thigh must be with all the running and cycling I have done this week.
I never saw myself as a runner before but seem to have found a new passion for it since running that first 5 k. Since then I have continued to run and find that I don't want to run anything less what's going on there LOL
The best thing that has happened to me this week is that my son has learned how to swim without any bands and I am so proud of him. I kept telling him if at first...try try again and I also told him that it takes strength and determination and that comes from your mind and arms and that you can do it and lone behold he has kept that in his mind and did it, so that is the highlight of my week.
When we tap into our mind and believe in something and want something bad enough we can go for it and succeed. Walls are meant to be broken and that's when the mind can be fixed. It's what we tell ourselves that will lead us to failure or to our successes on our journey's. I am tapped in and I get "it" I am embracing all of these changes and have come so far on my personal journey and I am so happy that I chose to begin it and to have the support and encouragement of this community so thank you to all of you too
Have a wonderful week everyone and good luck
Almost forgot to add, my OH has lost another 3 lbs this week so well done to him too

Hi Trafford- AWESOME! Week 30!!! I think you are forgetting some important achievements! The lighter you get, the harder it is to burn calories, your calorie needs diminish, you are carrying less of a load so its inevitable you will notice a difference from when you were heavier.
You are focussing on your other metrics though - inches! Brilliant. Start focussing on your running and cycling distances and even times - I haven't even started running yet. You're on it!
What a role model for your son too! You are not just transforming one life.
Hi andrew, your post is very inspiring to me and I very much appreciate all that you have said. This week I am focusing on distance and just being active every single day. Thank you also for you lovely comments regarding my son. He believes in his abilities now and is excited to see what else he can do to.
Thank you flossie, I am really pleased with the overall inches lost this week and the running and cycling really do help. I would like to ride 25 k this week which will be the longest time I would have ever rode. So here's to another great fun packed week
it's 15.5 miles it will be the furthest I have rode and it's on a cycle track which is up hill down hill and very, very long. After I conker this I am planing on going further. Look forward to reporting I have done it too thanks flossie
Congratulations to you for losing 1 pound this week, and to your other half for losing 3 pounds, those are really good losses, and it's great to hear you've lost some inches from your measurments too. Losing 62 pounds in total is amazing, and such a great achievement.
Lovely to hear your son has learned to swim this week - that's exciting, and now you can look forward to hopefully doing some swims together for the remainder of the Summer.
Hi Lowcal, thank you very much, it's been such a great week and full of activities which have definitely helped me lose those all important inches. My son has put the biggest smile on my face and I am truly proud of his achievement so had to share this with everyone today.
My aim for the coming week is to hopefully lose 2 lbs which I am excited about.
Have a great weekend and good luck for Monday Lowcal

Hi trafford1 congrats on a great all round result. You must be positively beaming. I also feel superstitious since recently managing to run 5k as I'm worried if I run shorter distances I'll lose the ability to run 5k! But it's still quite difficult for me, so I'm considering including shorter runs in my week as well as the 5k run, so that I'm still building fitness without wearing myself out. Also considering slowly building up to 6k, watch this space! Have you done a parkrun yet? I hope to do one later this month. Have a great weekend
Hi Ruth and thank you. I feel the same as you with regards to the 5 k it's only my 2nd week of running the whole thing and have done this 3 x's now without stopping, but don't feel like stopping as I am driven to complete the 5 k. Also like you I want to build this to a 6 k which really excites me. I've never been a runner but since discovering that I can, I can't help it LOL.
I do see a park run in my future as this will be a really great way to challenge myself
Have a lovely week and keep up the running well done to both of us
The world is yours, Traff. When I get to 12.10 I shall be half way through the required loss. Gulp! Still a ways to go. Great to read that someone is getting there - all power to your muscles
