Hi I’m new here. I’m not madly overweight but recently have noticed the lbs creeping up and the jeans feeling a bit tight. At 70 years of age I’m aware that it’s getting harder to keep my weight down but I’ve managed to shed a couple of lbs and hope this site will motivate me to keep going to Christmas. My BMI is 25.7 - down from 26.1 so I’m heading the right way. Just need to hang on in there and think ‘no’.

I think you are inspirational Warwicker You are not using your age as an excuse, and have already taken steps to move to a slimmer and healthier lifestyle. You will find you are not the youngest member here either. 🙂

I think I’ve posted twice! More or less the same thing. Could You perhaps delete my first post and just leave the second one?
And yes, I’d like to join the Newbie Club. Just doing my exercise routine now then off to breakfast on my lovely 😊 ‘no added sugar’ yoghurt. I’ll keeo busy until lunchtime as the secret is not to let yourself get bored as that’s when the ‘munchies’ seek you out.
You have posted twice. 🙂
I will delete your second post for you as I have given you the link to further information here. I will add the information about the diet you are following here as people will be interested in that.

I’m going low carb (low, not no carb) as I’m finding that easiest to stick to with a touch of the Mediterranean diet thrown in. It all amounts to lots of food I can eat and the odd glass of red wine 🍷
